I bought this machine only three years ago. It’s only been used a handful of times and the motor has already burnt out. Tremendously disappointed and not looking forward to the warranty process

I've wanted a kitchenaid mixer for quite a while. When my old Mixmaster finally gave up the ghost, it was time. I've been happy with the 2 or 3 things I've done with it so far. There are 2 buts: I think the instruction book is poor, skimpy and cheap. I've been a confident cook for 50 years, but I'd have liked some recipes to help me get started with a new (expensive) appliance. And I don't know yet what real capacity the bowl has. I doubled my shortbread recipe...but could I have tripled it? Second: I noticed that my flat beater had a tiny chip out of the enamel when I first went to use it. I don't know whether this will affect the life of the beater or not, so I don't know how significant this is. but it makes me uneasy.
Another but: I answered the age questtion wrongly, and deliberately. i can't see why this is appropriate.

I love my KitchenAid, but was very disappointed when trying to cream sugar & butter. The beaters don’t scrape the bowl, so the mixture was stuck to the bottom of the bowl and did not beat to a light fluffy mixture.
