Lightweight & Portable

I needed a portable scanner for my laptop use and chose the Epson DS-30 based on prior reviews. I was not disappointed. It's super easy to use, is very portable and fits well in my laptop case. The quality of the scanning, even for the more difficult color schemes and layout, is excellent. No complaints. I have used it in my SUV .. and even aboard aircraft .. with my JetPak with no issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought the DS-30 scanner today, got home, loaded the software, watched videos on line to learn how to use it and then was really upset that the software NEVER engaged when the scanner was plugged in. I uninstalled and did it all over again and it still wouldn't work. Very angry, uninstalled again, packed it up and returned it the store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The scanner works great. Very easy to setup and fast. Small size makes is very portable to take along.

paper jam

I bought this to scan a great deal of paper. The store clerk said "this was the one I needed." The downloading aspect of it was great; however, I was only able to scan about 25 pages before it started saying the paper was jammed. The paper was not jammed. I would press enter and it would feed the page out. No problem. I don't like wasting my time scanning the same page more than 4 times. It is probably great for people using it for a small amount of scanning at one time but it is not the one for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Time saving awesomness

I love this scanner it saves me a ton of time. before this portable scanner I would have to spend hours at the shop scanning work related documents on the day I came home. Now with this portable scanner I can scan all my docs ( and save them in pdf form) before I even reach land and send all my info in the she shop and enjoy my time off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrific time with installation

Your stuff needs to work, folks. I've now spent 3 hours trying to install your software on my MacBook Pro. Still no guarantee this is going to work. Would I buy this product again? No, no, and no. If you allowed me to give less than one-star rating, I would.
