Just what I needed

I wanted something that would fit into my laptop bag that could scan grey scale as well as color. This scanner is rugged, scans very well, come with all necessary connections software. It is just what i needed

I bought the scanner to scan and send documents while away on field assignments. The device is all that I expected. It is portable and fits in my laptop case. I can copy as .jpeg, .pdf, and other formats. and is fast enough to scan several pages as one document. It will be a great time saver.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The software failed to install

This looks like a great product, and I like the 30 rather than the 40 because it doesn't require batteries. However, my new Mac doesn't recognize the scanner. I thought that it was the thunderbolt, so I tried it on my older computer--the software still doesn't work. The scanner is on, everything is connected...it just doesn't recognize the scanner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
