Epson DS-30 Scanner

Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. I have typewritten 17 years of my daily journal and am scanning it into my computer via the Epson Scanner. Since 2000, it is digital. I will complete my 17 years early in 2013.

I bought this scanner a week ago and I am using it to scan all of my pictures before digital and loving it! I have scanned over 1000 pictures.
At first I was getting a white streak and my husband adjusted the scanner to 600 dpi and under size we created a 3x5 and 4x6. This way the scanner knows exactly what size you are scanning and the white streak no longer shows up.
and YES the instructions for this product are not clear and not sufficient. Reason why I am only giving 4 stars. For someone he is not tech savvy is difficult to figure it out.

the setup has been very difficult and i still am not up and running. the setup sheet did not mention separate drivers/procedures for win8. i have win8 64 bit, and the CD did not work. i even tried the online driver for win8, and the scanner is still not working. . . very frustrating. i'm getting ready to return it.

great scanner

I have used this to scan several thousand documents and photos and it works great. Have had no problems at all. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for a small scanner. Must faster than the scanner on my printer so if you have lots to scan this is a great tool.

Great product, perfect portability

This scanner has provided everything I needed in a compact device. It enables me to take my work on the road and transmit data to my colleagues back in the office. It is fast, quiet and easy to use. Love the portable scanner!
