Extremely Loud AC

I read a positive review of this unit, as it works ok, but there is a constant sound of swooshing water that makes this the loudest air conditioner I have (and I've got 4). I moved it out of the bedroom because it was hard to sleep based on the noise this thing generates.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not cool the room to the temp shown on readout. Loud! Sleep feature is quiet but room heats up quickly. The old unit we had worked better[ before they went to Energy Star].

Hey dch46! In the sleep mode the selected temperature will increase by 2 degrees Fahrenheit 30 minutes after the mode is selected. The temperature will then increase by another 2 degrees Fahrenheit after an additional 30 minutes. This new temperature will be maintained for 7 hours before it returns to the originally selected temperature. I would first check your power cord. Make sure your air conditioner is turned off, press the TEST button, you will notice a click as the button pops out. Then press the RESET button. Again, you will notice a click as the button engages; now turn your air conditioner on. If the plug does not reset the cord may be damaged. I would recommend checking your air filter. A dirty filter can restrict air flow. Clean or replace your filter if needed. Also, check if there is anything blocking the front of your air conditioner such as drapes, blinds, and furniture. Another suggestion would be to check the condenser coils on the outside of your air conditioner. Make sure the condenser coil is clean and not restricted by bushes, trees, debris or winter covers.We ask that if you have any current questions or concerns, please contact us directly. Bought this unit only about three weeks ago in south Florida. Already a strange foam is building around the condenser since it never drains all the water out. this is apparently normal for this model but its causing muck to build and rusting the bolts on the accumulator mounts already. Also when on auto the temp is set to 74 and the room stays about 81 not sure why its off so much but seems to be consistent. I like the energy star because im not in the room much and want the humidity and mild temperature controlled at the lowest possible electrical draw which is seems to do. I just might need a new one in two years but..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello, GMC1! Thank you for your time and comments. Also, I would like to welcome you to our Frigidaire family! We find if there is a significant amount of mold you may have a drainage issue. We recommend checking if the air conditioner is tilted back about ¼” to ½”. After proper installation, condensate should not drain from the overflow drain hole during normal use. Operates well, but...

Not as powerful as the specs imply. Cools relatively small areas quite well. However, this unit leaves a bit more to be desired in my 11' x 16' living room. According to the room dimensions chart on the box it should have been able to handle this size space. Otherwise, product works as advertized.

Awesome A/C

I bought this for my office in a tool shop, it can get hot fast. I have used it on fan only, energy saver, and cool modes and it has worked perfect for each need. It will cool the room from 80 to 70 in less than fifteen minutes. Also the remote is perfect, I don't have to go to the A/C unit to adjust anything.
