This is a review for this unit after 2 Louisiana summers. I installed in kitchen window and was happy for 2 years with only complaint was temp was wrong on front. Kept 2 rooms at 74 except in 97 degree outside temp. Last week it got up to 85 inside and I thought here we go again. I have had 3 other Frigidaire Air conditioners and 2 year seems to be max. I went back to owners manual and it stated must not be installed with awnings over and my deck is covered. I figure what do I have to lose so I installed in Living Room where there was no cover. Now temp is close and it cools the Mobile Home down great. I even got up this morning to 69 degree room. It is been over 95 outside for last week and highest temp inside is 77 degrees with a low overnight inside is 69. Temp has been set on 65 for 2 years and now I have to raise it to 67. Overall the AC needs 2 important factors that must be adhered to. First is don't install with a deck anyhow you have 4 ft of clearance over top as it will overheat when deck gets over 120 and it will with this type of install which I now think is reason for other Air Conditioners going out. Second is it needs to be on its own circuit as it draws lots of amps. My Frigidaire collection consist of Dishwasher, Range, Refrigerator, 12000 window unit and this one so that should tell you of reliability I expect from a product. Oldest is range of 11 years and newest is fridge of 2 years.

Great for wasting your money

Better than my central air

I bought this window air conditioner when my central air quit on me after 15 years. It cools my modest 5 room home completely and my utility bill is a little less than before. So I'm completely happy with this unit. Also, it runs so quiet compared to the central air.
