This is my third Samsung Chromebook and things have gotten both faster and smoother with this iteration. Touchpad is very responsive, works better than ever as does the keyboard. The faux leather in black is rather attractive and gives one a secure grip. As usual, simply charged my notebook, signed in to Chrome, and off I went continuing my work. Excellent response and feel. Really love the matte screen, it is easy on my eyes and clear. Battery life is improved and it charges faster, can use the same charger as Samsung 3. Speakers are greatly improved too, nice sound. In conclusion, this is a fine product that I am very happy to have. Thanks Samsung.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, fast, good sound, good display
I would recommend this to a friend!

i've always liked Samsung products and when i read that they were carrying this product well i had to get one for myself. some of the pluses I've found on this product, it boots-up in about 10 secs and it's ready to go, every-one has their own settings and apps and the best part it's very simple to use, its small and light-weight and it stays cool ( it dos not get hot on your lap) yes i love this product and i know i will get good use of it
My wife looked at this when it was set up for display at a warehouse store. Much smaller than a traditional laptop. She thought that it would be great to have in the kitchen for getting recipes off of the internet, etc. Been using it about 6 months now and it is a very nice machine. Takes a little getting used to after using windows for so many years but we're very happy with the chromebook 2..
I bought a Samsung Chromebook 2 as an additional device for professional use. The college I attend is Hybrid-based model and I wanted to get ahead of the curve prior to full implementation. I have used laptops and desktops running both of the major operating systems and have found Chrome to be a viable alternative for most tasks that I would classify as typical use: email, web navigation, streaming video, etc. However, I will keep my high end windows laptop which has more capacity.
From the product perspective, the Samsung Chromebook 2 is a great value! It is light, portable, energy efficient and easy to use. It is fantastic to be free of concerns about viruses, constant software updates, slow start up times and the system bogging down over the long term. I have found the cloud-based system running on this machine to be more intuitive than on other platforms I have used.
Design is always subjective...but I like the clean, simple lines and compact profile. It is not as elegant as some of the ultra thin laptops available...but I could by several Samsung Chromebook 2 for the price of one of those devices! I looked at other Chromebooks, but decided to go with Samsung because I have had good experiences with many of their products...everything from phones, to DVD players, TVs, a refrigerator, a range...everything has been reliable and a solid value.
So if you are looking for a portable device to do the basics at low cost and high value...The Samsung Chromebook 2 would be a good choice. It has very few drawbacks and many advantages over other, more traditional machines. At this price point you can not go wrong.
It turns on and off so fast. I mainly use it for school work, research and writing assignments. Before buying this, I would use my Galaxy Tab and my phone to edit homework through Google Docs. It's so much easier with my chromebook, since I have an actual keyboard now. I've searched the web, taken notes, and written papers for 6 hours straight without having to worry about charging it. The battery on this is just amazing!! I There is no "right-click" on the mouse pad, which I didn't like at first, but then I learned the "right-click" options were accessible by tapping on the mouse pad with 2 fingers, as opposed to 1.
So far I have been very happy with my Chromebook 2.
Once you get over the fear of the constrains that everyone talks about the Chromebook having vs a traditional notebook and embrace the fact that most of your time on a computer is on the internet you realize the Chromebook is an excellent affordable option. So far I have not found anything that I can't do on this Chromebook 2 that would require me to be on my Macbook.
