This is one of my all time favorite movie sets. It is SUCH a shame that they canceled this and never carried it over. I would love to see someone pick this back up and run it for 7 seasons (like NGen or Voyager).
What's great about it: This is one of the best "cheeky" space shows they ever released!
What's not so great: nothing...its perfect!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is bar none the greatest science fiction out there, get this series, watch it in the order intended and you won't be disappointed.
You might windup calling yourself a brown-coat and spreading the word that you "can't stop the signal"!!!

As a Sci Fi fan I enjoyed this series and the movie Serenity. Characters were strong, interesting men and women. The story line draws you in.
What's great about it: I missed it when it aired on TV so this $14.00 deal was great.
What's not so great: Having to drive to another town to p/u as we do not have a Best Buy in Goldsboro.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great acting, great plots, good story. I wish I would have known about this earlier. Don't forget to watch the movie Serenity after watching the series. It will make a lot more sense if you do.

This is one of my favorite shows of all time. Josh Whedon is brilliant and this is one of his finest works. I was so excited when this series went on sale for $6.99 and purchased it immediately. I was glad to see that it was just as good when I rewatched and look forward to rewatching whenever I want!
What's great about it: Creative and imaginative show with great actors and beautiful imagery

I really like the series and I would have paid the full price for it. When I looked on the shelf in the store, they were sold out. I checked the in store computer for availability and price. I was so stunned by the listed price that I actually asked a clerk if that posting was correct. After being assured that special price was indeed what they were asking, I ordered mine on line when I got home. When I went to the store to pick it up, the staff was very helpful and very friendly. Just the sort of shopping experience that will guarantee my return business. Thanks Best Buy!
What's great about it: Everything!!! Love the series felt like I was given a gift to be able to get it at the price I paid.
What's not so great: I am not so enthusiastic about the economy packaging for the individual disks, but that is a very minor detail
I would recommend this to a friend!

FIREFLY, is a sci-fi world cult phenomenon. Written by master story teller Joss Weadon (currently DOLLHOUSE, and formerly BUFFY etc), it tells the tales of the crew of the antiquated but versatile star ship SERENITY. Set in a not too distant "future" it has a rather Western feel as settlers from an over crowded and used up "Earth that Was" colonise planets around another G class star. Rather than another boring Tales of their Adventures, the original series describes with much humour and quirkyness how a group of dysfunctional virtual strangers confront life's challenges, their passage to becoming a great space faring family and their realisation that the whole is much greater than the sum of the parts. Cancelled mid first season, it went on through fan pressure to become a full length wide release feature movie (SERENITY), now begging for either a sequel or a second season. As the solid fan base will tell you "You can't stop the Signal..." My favorite Episode: "Out of Gas"
What's great about it: Complete series (my second copy as first is worn out) of the best cancelled tv sci-fi series made anywhere to date.
What's not so great: Fox did an el cheapo job on the DVD format. Tedious to get to episode.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best, shortest series, ever

Most people already know about the show, or have watched the movie 'Serenity' already. My main two cents on this series is this: It gets better with repeated viewings. That is a pretty rare thing with television shows. It also leaves you craving more and wishing it didn't get cancelled.
What's great about it: Brilliant dialogue, (mostly) great stories
What's not so great: Only 12 episodes, the horrid theme song, River
I would recommend this to a friend!
