Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used a Kitchen Aid Mixer for 33 years & was very happy with it, but it is about worn out - most speeds don't work anymore. I was excited to buy this new one, since the bowl is bigger & it is supposed to have more power. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box is that the silver band on the motor head is installed crooked. (It could be a problem keeping clean.) I DO NOT like the fact that Kitchen Aid no longer puts the spring on the post. When running the mixer, it sounds clunky & I'm concerned about the motor wearing out soon because of so much play in the post & the part that goes up into the mixer head. When kneading dough, it sounds like the mixer is working harder than my old one that I made dough with for 33 years! My grandmother loved her kitchen aid, my mother loves hers & I loved my old one. But, I am disappointed with the new one.

The first one the spinner stopped after a couple weeks, the second one speed control was difficult to change speeds, the third one the motor oscillates- sure it will have to be exchanged once again! I had my old one for 12 yrs with no problems - even changed the worm gear and is still strong! Kitchenaid your missing e mark with quality control!

Just stopped working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a Christmas present and it broke a little after a year of having it. I thought these were supposed to last a lifetime but apparently not. Beyond unsatisfied and sad as it was expense.

Doesn’t work like my old one!

Motor broke on my 10th use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to return this mixer after it completely croaked on me while making a meringue. The engine started making this horrific sound and then just stopped working. After waiting a few minutes, I tried turning it back on and all it did was make a grinding loud sound.

Love it!

This is my 2nd Kitchenaid mixer (Artisan mini was my 1st) and I love it! The size is perfect for the larger batches I’ve been making. I brought cookies each Monday to my coworkers at school (anything to boost moral during that train wreck of a school year) and my mini wasn’t able to handle the double batches I needed to make. Once I got my hands on my big guy here, it was a whole new game!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as expected

The bowl comes loose when mixing things like pizza dough and the silver piece that goes around the top is loose. Mixed very simple ingredients for cookies and the top of the mixer moved and makes a weird noise while mixing. Very frustrated and unhappy with it so for.
