DO NOT BUY AN LG!

We loved this refrigerator when we purchased it, and it is a beautiful fridge, but after only 3 years, the compressor has gone out and it quit cooling of course. There is a class action lawsuit against LG regarding these Linear Compressors! We CANNOT get any help from LG, as they are saying they cannot find anyone to repair our refrigerator even though there is an extended 5 year parts and labor warranty on the sealed cooling system. The problem is LG is not paying an appliance repair company the money they owe them, so they have quit dealing with them! And also, LG has not updated their compressor, so the replacement part is the same as the defective part! So please please don’t buy an LG!
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Understandably this is frustrating, and I am terribly sorry that the issue has not been resolved. Because of the delay in being able to provide repair for your unit, there are policies and procedures in place to provide an alternative resolution. Please contact LG Customer Support by direct message via Twitter (@LGUSSupport) or Facebook Messenger (https://www.facebook.com/LGUSA/). Please be sure to provide your name, phone number, address, email, model/serial numbers, and date of purchase and we will be happy to assist you. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. ^Daphane

this product needs some changes

bought this refrig because I love LG products and have been thrilled with both my tv and my washer/dryer---but though the interior space is huge--most items do not fit on the door shelves as they are too narrow and ice capacity is minimal at best as is the cold water reservoir--none of this was pointed out by the salesman and I guess I didn't do my home work with as much do diligence as I should have--so I have an expensive refrig that doesn't make much ice, mustard jars etc do not fit on the door shelves nor do wine bottles which when open cannot lay in the chill drawer--all this is very inconvenient--on the up side I love the door in door, the extra chill drawer and the large capacity of the refrig itself--but for the price I think there are too many downsides to give it a thumbs up.

Horrible

Worst refrigerator ever, this is the 3rd time in 3 years that it has broken. Compressor went bad right around the 2 year mark, got it the part replaced after much chasing and followup with LG. Broke again after about a year but fortunately was able to get it to work after a day or so. Finally broke again amidst the COVID19 situation and my family is suffering yet again. Cant say enough about how disappointed we are with this expensive refrigerator ! LG should compensate me for this horrid experience. Its a Lemon ! Now I have to go buy a new refrigerator amidst all this !

Ice maker dispenser does not work well!
on August 4, 2015

The big problem with this refrigerator is design of the ice dispenser. By you own "caution" in the refrigerator the dispenser may NOT work properly due to "ice up" of the chute. This happens all the time which also makes it difficult to remove the ice bucket as it is also frozen to the chute. Manually trying to get cubes from the bucket is almost impossible unless you have little skinny hands. I have many times fought to remove the bucket and clear the frosted/iced up chute only to have to repeat the process again and again. The dispenser flapper door on occasion sticks open and has to coaxed shut. This situation is very frustrating for such a high end refrigerator.

best refrigerator so far

I don't know where to begin praising this refrigerator it is so great. It is so easy to keep food organized to have it all so easily accessible. Absolutely love the dual door design, the 3 bins for fruits/veggies, chill drawer, extra shelves in bottom freezer. The water/ice dispenser in the door design is ingenious since no interior space is used for it. It is also easy to clean. In my opinion no stainless steel cleaner is necessary. I use a soft sponge with warm water and mild soap to clean the exterior and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. Just go with the grain. This family loves this refrigerator. It is worth the price. We are happy we bought it. Friends and family are awed by this refrigerator.

The delivery
on September 22, 2015

Reviewing this product online and in the store was very nice. However it is 35 3/4 inches wide and 38 inches deep. With standard 36 inch doors the opening is only 35 1/2 inches wide because of the door stop. Which necessitates he removal of the door stop from the house and re-painting or the removal of the doors on the refrigerator by a delivery person who is not trained by LG on the removal and re-attachment of the refrigerator doors which resulted in two broken parts. Now waiting for the repair on my new frog, not what I expected at that price. The LG engineers should have kept it at 35 inches wide.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 6 months ago - the first two that were delivered didn't work out of the box. Now 6 months in, the unit has died. Service is on the way to fix. If you buy this, get a good backup - I suggest another brand.

Best refrigerator I have ever owned

I really like the smooth, quiet operation of this refrigerator. The extra depth and the French doors allow placement of a sheet pan, both in the refrigerator and in the freezer, which allows me to freeze or chill multiple small items such as hors oeuvres, petit fours and canapés prior to packaging for extended storage
