It's a decent UPS for small things. I currently use it to help my plasma TV deal with minor brownouts in our home.
What's great about it: The $35 I paid for it while it was on sale!
What's not so great: Short battery life, but you get what you pay for.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Everyone should make sure their computers have a backup battery. We've had a lot of power outages, or when the stupid power company decides to do a switch over at the station. A lot of this electronic stuff can't take that. Clocks, stoves, microwaves & especially computers!
What's great about it: Knowing my computer is protected when there's a power outage!
What's not so great: Not knowing if it actually works yet! (Haven't had any outages!)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor product with short lifespan

I purchased a cyberpower power management unit for my home computer system about 10 months ago to protect
against power surges and provide a few minutes of battery backup in case of a power outage in my home
office. Over the years I've come to expect less from a product than what's advertised on the box so I
never expected this to actually power my system and it's peripherals for a full 30 minutes. However, I
also didn't expect this device to completely shut down without warning every time there's a power dip or
hiccup! It's worked properly exactly twice, where I was able to take two minutes and shut down the
computer in the event of a power loss, running off the stored charge in this unit. Every other instance
of a less-than-perfect power situation (not even a power loss mind you) this unit simply shuts down,
freezes up, and beeps steadily until I crawl under the desk and cycle the power button. This unit is NOT
to be trusted, especially as a main power mgt setup. It lasted barely two months before becoming a rather
heavy extension cord awaiting disposal. I've been meaning to purchase a new and proper unit for my small
home office for months now but it's been hectic and I keep forgetting about this issue until a sudden
loss of work. Since this just happened again, I'm writing this review and heading out to get a real UPC!
Good luck to all who roll the dice with this thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
What's great about it: shiny gold connectors are pretty
What's not so great: it's an overweight extension cord, hopefully the ground wire works...

Good for low end appliances!

Off the bat the price was great! But when I got it home and plugged it in and let it charge then started to plug in my router and laptop charger... it would beep and go into battery mode every several minutes. So i put the laptop charger on another outlet and now it works fine... but this thing can't hold too many devices on it without going into battery mode because it can't handle the wattage.
I also noticed that there is no easy was to change the battery when it dies a year from now. With APC UPS' they have an easy slideout panel on the bottom with easy access to the battery.
I was also dissappointed to only have 3 outlets on battery backup. The other 3 are surge only.
What's great about it: Low price
What's not so great: # of outlets for batery backup, not easy to change batter in future, low wattage
I would recommend this to a friend!
