Thought it was great for my needs, powering router & modem.
What's great about it: simple one button use, and bright green indicator light
What's not so great: feels cheap in the hands because of it's lightweight make-up, but is that bad???

Lighter weight than many so it works on a shelf

I needed a UPS for a small shelf that my cable box sits on and the TV is mounted over. This unit is light weight and fits the bill. I do not need extensive battery backup, and 425VA is more that adequate. Flush mount plug so it does not stick out from the wall outlet. I will most likely be getting another of this same model in the next week or so for my wives sewing machine ($3k sewing machine with computer chip that does various patterns). We get lightening (thunderstorms) a few times a year. I have UPS units on most major electronics. It would be nice to have another 2 plugs.

Does not supply enough power for my desktop PC. Admittedly, my PC is AMD powered (lots of fans!) with 3 Hard Disk Drives and two LCD monitors. The annoying steady beep should be replaced with Scotty saying, "I'm givin' ya all she's got, Cap'an"
Also, there's no connection to the PC to tell it to shut down on low battery during a power outage. If I had caught that in the store, I would have passed it over right there.
Had to buy the next larger one to get the features I need/want. Rather than return this one, however, I'll just use it for my TiVo box.
What's great about it: Cheap

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This design is junk, won't handle a small system

These are junk. They overload with a pretty light system running idle. Had to unplug the monitor from the UPS and it still had issues. Running a FX-8350 1 HD, 1 optical drive, and a medium power video card with a 400W power supply. I'd hate to see what would happen if I actually tried to run a game. All these are good for is backing up some network equipment.
What's great about it: very light (because the battery is tiny)
What's not so great: woefully underpowered
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
