OK til battery unexpectedly fails

Worked ok for a few years and then the battery failed without notice causing the power to cease immediately. Ironic that an UPS would fail without warning!

Not worth the money

We bought this product in July 2009 and seven months later we will have to buy a new back-up system because this one fails a lot, practically every day. We have one laptop and one desktop connected. The system cannot handle these two things. When we disconnect everything and try and restart and with nothing connected the product continues to beep. We are now disconnecting it every night after several nights of having to get up and unplug everything. It is obviously not worth the low price.
What's great about it: the price
What's not so great: the beeping at 3am!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was impressed with its features and the price but found that it is not worth it. It only lasted about two weeks and is suppose to have a 3 year warranty. I am in the process of trying to get a refund because I do not think I want a replacement. I will stick to an APC UPS system as I had before.

Severely Underpowered

Bought this to ensure that my computer doesn't go down with brown outs in the coming summer months. Plugged the following items into the 4 battery plugs: Desktop PC, Monitor, Speakers & USB Hub for mouse/keyboard/printer.
As soon as I boot my computer the battery tanks and starts beeping. I finally had to move the Monitor off battery and onto surge protection only to even get my computer to boot. Since then, it's still killed the battery a few times when I am playing a game, assumption is that the graphics card being used causes the power draw to increase.
There's also no USB connection on this battery allowing you to check the status from your computer.
As you can't power a single PC and associated peripherals with this battery backup, and as other users have reported it won't power a single 40" TV, I'm not really sure who would find this desirable.
Of course the blue shirt at the store told me this would work for a desktop computer, and since it was cheap I just trusted his answer rather than pulling out my phone and checking the reviews. When will I learn.
What's great about it: cheap
What's not so great: can't power a computer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first one I ordered, all of the outlets on the battery backup side were dead. So Best Buy sent me another right away (great service), I plugged it in and after a week we had a storm and a power failure while I was on the computer. I had plugged only my Asus all-in-one (not super powerful) and my phone into it, and it did not work, my computer went down! I will not buy this brand again.

I prefer APC when it comes to UPS', but I couldn't pass up the sale price on this. I got a couple for protecting my HDTV, and keeping routers/switches and vonage boxes online. Perfect for that.
