I bought this because occasionally we were getting small power outages os maybe 10 seconds. Just enough to shut everything down. I installed it and maybe 1 day after low and behold we had another outage. The battery backup worked perfectly. This was very easy to install. Just per-charge for 24 hours then plug everything in. I am going to buy another because there was not enough outlets for everything I would like to plug in.

In my area we have power outages at least monthly. Each time our satellite receivers must reset, modem/router disconnects and gaming systems have to restart, losing unsaved data. I have 4 ,each will lasts between 15 -40 mins depending on what's plugged in. Only complaint is can't shut off beeping sound each one makes alerting me the power is out, as I'm pretty sure most people know the powers out. I'm sure it's a useful feature to someone.

This is a battery backup unit. Its purpose is to provide A FEW MINUTES of A/C power to your computer when the utility power goes out. This will give you time to properly SHUT DOWN your computer. It is NOT intended to be used as a power supply at some place such as a campground.

I only gave it four stars because the top button design allows dirt and grit to get into it, making the button STICK and not work properly in a dirty environment such as a workshop. The power button NEEDS to be redesigned!
