When I purchased this tripod on sale, it looked fairly sturdy in the container. However, when I unwrapped it at home and tried to pull the legs out, one of them snapped off immediately. I took it back and exchanged it for one that seemed to work properly. The model I bought was an older version. The ones currently on sale have a slightly cheaper appearance. However, they may be improved in terms of durability and functionality.
