Impressed

I rely on projection heavily and purchased the EX7230 Projector. It is the perfect mix of brightness and resolution as well as quick and easy setup and teardown. I've filled very large screens in lit gymnasiums with very good results. Compared to my previous projectors this Epson gives very vibrant accurate and bright colors. Believe the hype about color lumens! Great value, long bulb life and inexpensive replacement bulbs add to the positives of this projector. This projector has impressed me and fits my needs perfectly. I'm very glad I purchased an Epson.

Quick and Easy

I bought the 7230 Pro after reading quite a few reviews. I was going to purchase the entry level projector, but everyone said they were not worth the money and some extra cash up front was well worth it, as they were not very clear and did not work well in a room that was not dark. I have not used it much yet but the hook up to my laptop was quick and easy with everything I needed in the box. I had a picture up on the screen in no time, and the controls on the projector are easy to use. In just a few seconds I had the picture centered, squared and in focus. I think I made the right decision for the better unit.

I owned the Epson 5210 projector for about 2 years and never had an issue and loved, sold it recently and decided to jump to this one and I can say it's worth the money. The picture is so much more vivid as far as colors go. I love the wifi capability and my new favorite option on this is the split screen. I love having my PC running a game online from ESPN, have the XBOX One going with the snap option so you can watch tv and play a game at the same time. Had two different NFL games going while still playing Forza Horizon. It's not a top of the line projector but it is tops in it's class and I challenge you to find a better one, with 3000 lumens on color and whites, in HD that can project to this size. You won't. Besides, it's Epson, the customer service is always great.

Great Projector for Powerpoints and Movies

I've had the projector for one day. I've shown powerpoint from my Mac Book Pro 17" from 2011. It worked great with a mini display port to HDMI cord (already owned does not come with projector). Watched Netflix videos via this connection. Then connected it to my Apple TV box (HDMI to HDMI cord (also not included in the box) and watched iTunes moves and netflix via apple TV. Great sound as well a bright sharp video. Works best of course in a dark room but was acceptable during the daytime. Best all around projector for the price. This model does not have wireless (optional).

I work with students 31+ years old who did not get a college degree. This projector allows the students to all see the material from my MacBook Pro on a screen large enough for all to read, hear and understand. This is especially true when we are doing math with spreadsheets. In three semesters they are well on their way towards an online degree from BYU-Idaho.

Value!

Just bought this projector to replace one about 10 years old, which was still working fine but lacked many of today's advanced features. This one had the best features for the price of any I could find. Most important to me were its very wide zoom, distortion correction for angle to screen, and complete connection options. The Epson name also helped with my decision. It just arrived, and I immediately gave it a thorough workout. It's everything I hoped.

Enjoying Nature

About 3 years ago we started having a Halloween Hayride to a Haunted Forest to raise money for charities. The 1st year we had about 10 people, last year we had 20, this year we will have about 25. And when we return home we have a screen set up in the yard to show old "scary" movies.
We were using a borrowed projector that has some age on it. Also an Epson. So this year we decided to buy our own projector and naturally, from experience with the older Epson, we bought this one. We show the movies on a 10' screen. Then the rest of the year we have campfire get togethers to watch movies while enjoying the outdoors.
What a life. Thanks Epson for your contribution.

So far I have only used it to show digital slides without a computer hooked to it. I just put my flash drive in the USB "A" port and fellow the on screen prompts and off I go. I use it much like an old slide projector, only no carousel to deal with. Just a flash drive in my pocket. It's a wonderful thing.
