I love my Note 10.1!

I have owned my tablet for a little over a month now, and it has given me absolutely no problems. It is the perfect size and very easy to tote around. I enjoy taking it to class over my laptop. It has a much better battery life than what you'll have on a laptop. So, I won't have to worry about finding an outlet with a full day of classes. With Polaris Office, it is very easy to take notes for classes and easily opens as a normal text document on my computer. I'm an informatics student, and all of my classmates gush over its unique features with the S Pen. In stores, accessories do exist, but spending some time looking around online will give you a ton more options if you enjoy a variety of designs. The speakers are on the front of this product, which shouldn't be overlooked. It is so nice to not have the sound coming through the back, muffling it. It syncs very nicely with my Note 2, enabling easy retrieval of pictures from my phone. Samsung is really leading the pack on best mobile technology products, and have a great option for everyone in their variety of products. If you are thinking about this product, make sure you try it out. Once you get your hands on it, you won't want to put it down.

A surprisingly great device

I have to say that what really sets tablet apart from other Android tablets is the SPen. The stylus allows you so much more fine control over what you are touching or writing that it does make a noticeable difference then when just using your finger.
I mainly use the tablet for taking notes and reading documents. the pen makes it so easy to annotate a document or just to eve highlight text. Now, not all application work with the Pen but so far all of the writing and reading applications i have tried support. Samsung also includes some “S” applications that have been optimized for the pen and they are pretty good.
On the productivity side of the house i had no problems getting my work e-mail though exchange to work on the tablet with Samsung's stock e-mail application and calendar application. i found that these worked rather well and take advantage of the pen also.
Hardware wise this device is solid and one of the few tablets with 2GB or Ram. it support up to a 64GB Micro SD (once you update the software) and has a quad core processor and 2 cameras. the device is surprising light and easy to cary.
the tablet is running Android 4.0 and it runs smoothly. The Samsung custom UI is much better than it used to be and you for the most part won’t even notice you are not running stock ICS.
Overall I have been impressed by this device and find myself using it daily. I admit the device is not for every one but for those who like to draw, take notes, mark up your manuals the Note 10.1 is really the best tablet out there right now.

Samsung's Note is the best tab, fast and fun!

I've owned ipad 2 and HD before I regretted my choice. I made the decisions to try Samsung's new quad core, pen based tablet. And WoW! do I feel this is the best tablet to own with the current state of tab technology and it has made me happy everyday I use it. The Note runs apps effortlessly, streams movies without bogging and makes social network easy. No rebooting, no power cycling to fix frozen apps or cursing at it. I believe you are missing out a chance to enjoy a fun to use tab, if you do not experience the Note. The freedom Android OS allows is better than itunes restrictions. I use it everyday and it has replaced my i7 powered laptop with SSD for most of my entertainment uses at home.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, powerful processor, reliable never freezes

Right usage of Tablet

Some of the products we use has a core usage. Although the usage of each devices are changing somewhat, I think this Galaxy Note 10.1 is the device that can satisfy most people's real reason for getting a tablet computer. I have bought iPad and Galaxy Tab to help my study in terms of note taking or save some bucks on textbook. On top of these, I wanted to organize my daily life. However, I usually ended up buying different apps that never really satisfied my intention of the purchase. I bought a lot of games and used most of my tablets as a game console rather than personal organizer or education enhancer.
This is the real tablet and that will really help for any students or business people. It is perfect for organizing daily plan, watching video while taking note, download powerpoint and making notes. Being able to make notes on ppt is great because every class, we have to download and make note on them and lose them from time to time, with device that is not a problem. Being able to edit pictures that we take and draw things on it is wonderful too.
To do all this, the device itself needs have not only the features but the specs and this seems like it is real machine. With the quad core, it is so fast, the screen is bright and pure. Everything is built to only enhance our experience.
There are so many wonderful things about this tablet and I tried to touch on every possible aspects, but obviously that is not possible. All I can say is try it yourself. If you are not biased, you will be able to say this is THE BEST Tablet.

Threes weeks of Grad Classes and still going great

Launched just in time for Fall 2012 classes, I bought this with great anticipation. It has been three weeks, and I committed to bringing no other note-taking devices to class other than the Note 10.1, and it has been awesome. The S Note's abilities are very good (I have constructive feedback below). the S Pen coupled with S Note's ability to have pen-only writing (no touch writing), and with the S Note's PDF import and export features has been excellent. I like the quick access to rotation controls and the battery life lasts two to three solid days of classes -- complete with WIFI access on all the time.
Some feedback that I would really like to see addressed: S Note has the pen-only button, and I wish there was a pen-only button globally (in a quick button feature -- maybe a double click of the power button?) so that we can use pen-only on other apps; I would also like the floating pan window to disappear or have an option to turn it off, as it gets in the way of note taking when i have any level of zoom enabled; and finally, in pen-only mode, my hand still zooms in/out which interferes with note taking.
Not ever product is perfect, but this one is near perfect! It has been great for all my graduate level classes.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, great features

Best tablet for College

I was leery of spending as much as I did for a Tablet, but as far as I'm concerned it was money well spent.
This tab has changed my school experience for the better.
I much prefer the SPen over the rubber tipped styli I tried using on the last tab I had. It is so responsive and so much more accurate. I now enjoy taking notes on a Tablet something I had given up on with my last one.The battery lasts me all day. It is a handy thing to have all of my notes and handouts in separate folders organized by class on one device. It has handled all of the files that I've thrown it's way from scanned to PDF files, Office files etc.
Whether they are ones from my computer or ones I've downloaded online. I can also access all of my online class content only running into one so far that didn't work. The only fault for that was the developer using Silverlite instead of a non proprietary format.
This tablet has been able to replace my laptop ( I don't even carry it to school anymore). And it's something I'd recomend to anyone.
