I haven't used the speaker a great deal. Got it about two years ago and it had great sound. But I have always had problems getting the bluetooth to sync with my laptop. I used to be able to get it going after a lot of work, but it has been many months since I have been able to get anything but a beep-boop out of it. So I know it makes sound (when I turn it on), but it refuses to connect to the music. I guess its ready for the trash now. What a disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Still bangin'

Got this years ago as a present when they first came out. After all these years they still sound brand new and hold an excellent charge when not plugged in. Been dying to but the the Extreme 2, but waiting for the Flip 1 to go out. Doesn't look like its going out anytime soon. Honestly, my old Flip1 sounds better than the current Flip 4.

I am enjoying the JBL FLIP- great price, extremely portable. High quality build, I like the rubber base and the black finish. I had no difficulty syncing whatsoever (running Windows 764b). All necessary drivers were found without delay from the Internet. Please note that on a Win PC, check Control Panel -> Sound for the device. Furthermore, if you are using Media player, ‘Switch to Now Playing’ (i.e. player partially minimized) in order to use the graphic equalizer, etc. I haven’t tried connecting directly to ‘Aux In’ or my cell phone, but I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. Maybe JBL should make a bluetooth subwoofer too! :)
