Bought this a couple weeks ago, so far so good. No problems that were mentioned in other reviews. I have a 01 Infiniti I30, works perfect. No auto-reverse issues, no sound issues, just works.

The Best Buy salesperson said this was the easiest adaptor for me to use since I have an older car and he was right. The car volume must be turned up fairly high though. It is kind of expensive for the quality, but I've been very satisfied so far with the sound. I would recommend it.

I was a bit skeptical when I first bought this.To look at it it's just a plain looking cassette with a rather flimsy wire attached.Looks can be deceiving however.Once I plugged in my MP3 and played it through my cars cassette setting the sound was awesome. To me it sounds just as good as my cd player. The bass is full and rich and the highs are very clear and crisp.I think for the price it's a great deal. The only negative is I think Dynex should have made the adapter look a bit nicer with a thicker wire and perhaps better graphics but this is a minor thing.I've found that to get best results turn your Ipod to no more then 75 percent volume and let the car radio do the rest.If you put the MP3 to full volume you get some distortion.

I had a sony cassette adaptor for my car that lasted more than a year with constant usage before it finally broke. But when i bought the Dynex Cassette Adaptor, to start off, the sound quality was horrible, and it broke within the first month that i had it!! It is cheaply made and definitely not worth the price. Pay the few extra dollars to get a name brand adaptor because Dynex is garbage!!!!
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Cheaply made, broke within a month

Although the cord is a little flimsy and maybe should be a little thicker, and that the price may be a little high for that particular product, it was fantastic. Excellent sound, very easy to set up (take it out of the package and put in cassette player), and great overall. If you have an mp3 player, you should get this. I love it.
What's great about it: Easiness to set up and use
What's not so great: Flimsy cord; price should have been a little lower

For those who are sensitive to sound and can pick up on even the slightest sound variances then save yourself the ear ache and DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!! To give you and idea of how horrible this piece of plastic is, to the 8 year old rca cassette adapter i replaced it with (and stupidly threw away), the treble and bass in my car go from -9 to +9; with the old unit my settings were at Bass -3 and treb -9, AND with this inferior contraption i had to change them to bass +9 and treb -9 and I STILL heard more treb than bass @_@ So Yeah, over priced and overrated. Now excuse whilst I go and return this inferior object.

While the price may seem right, I was extremely disappointed when I opened the package and hooked up my mp3 player. Absolutely no bass support with a very limited spectrum of sound. Basically, whatever you listen to sounds like it's coming from a tin can. If you're looking for a good tape adapter, try the Jensen adapter (you'll have to buy online, but the sound quality will be better).
What's great about it: Easy to get out of the box, that's about it
What's not so great: Absolutely no bass support, low sound spectrum

I bought the Dynex™ CD/MD/MP3 Cassette Adapter to replace my old one that was approximately 3 years old. It worked well for about a week and suddenly started having issues with sound quality. I noticed if I pushed the jack into my IPOD and held it there it would improve so the connection between the jack and my IPOD wasn't good. After 2 weeks, the condition worsened until the item was practically useless never having a good connection.
What's great about it: Easy to set up.
What's not so great: Poor sound quality, Connection to IPOD
