Great Speaker!

I had this speaker for quite some time, took everywhere from the house to the river, out hiking, even endured a deployment over to Afghanistan. Always providing great sound and loud enough for eveyone to hear, whether using it for music, gaming or movies and on my cell phone, ipod or laptop. Unfortunately mine took a dive off of a cliff this weekend in Yosemite, so definitely going to puchase another.
I would recommend this to a friend!

battery won't charge

I've only used the flip about 10 times since I bought it about 9 months ago because the battery had such a short life. And now it won't charge at all. Very dissatisfied. I don't have a receipt so I'm basically out $90 with nothing much to show for it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible!

I have only had the speaker for about 6 months. It won't hold a charge and won't play any music even when hard wired in. Was very difficult to connect via bluetooth. Total waste of money. Not impressed.

Received as a gift and does not work. Plays for 1-2 min then stops. Same wether I use Bluetooth or wire. Save yourself! Go another route. Trying to get JBL to repair/replace. I'll keep you updated.....
Do the right thing JBL...

Excellent value for the money. Great sound and effortless connection to all of the bluetooth devices I have tried so far. I highly recommend this product from my experience so far.

Quality product and Durable!

I usually don't write reviews, but after what just happened I feel like I need to share this info. I bought this speaker six months ago, and I love every part of it. It sounds great, the clarity is maintained at all volume levels, and the Bluetooth range is very good as well. Last night I managed to knock the speaker off of a 7th story balcony on to pavement. I thought for sure it was toast, but I went down to get it and it still works great! The metal casing took most of the fall. It dented and came off and there was a crack in the plastic underneath it, but everything stayed in tact and the sound is still amazing. I am very pleased with this speaker and I will never buy a different brand.

Perfect

I bought this as a gift for my sister but she didn't want it. Instead of returning it, I just kept it for myself. I work in a retail store where we sell the JBL Flip, Flip 2, Beats Pill, Jambox (big and small), and a few other less common speakers. Overall, you're making a mistake if you do not get this speaker. The quality of the music is noticeably better than the competitors I mentioned, it is cheaper, and it comes from a more reliable company. I love it.

I have problems with my JBL Flip, makes a sondido all the time and nothing is noise only.
