Great action war movie that was nowhere near the experience of this new version compare to when I watched it in the theater when it came out.
Picture:
Always a great picture on an OLED panel & because it’s an older movie I had to switch to my other custom HDR setting to avoid grain.
Audio:
Atmos was impressive & was a reference demo material. Played on an Oppo through a 11.2 (7.2.4). There was life like moments for example, when helicopter scenes where projected on screen above you, the height ceiling channels activated giving you a realistic atmosphere. There were some 360 surround & some front and back panning that gives you that immersive sound we look for.

Film School in a Box in that this 3 disc version has a massive amount of background information, and many commentaries that provide film students with critical perspective on how or why decisions were made in the production of this film.
Notable for the historical documentary information on Disc 3 that, if you are an aspiring filmmaker, allows you to see both the research and historical perspectives that influenced Ridley Scott as a Director. Scott's commentaries, on all his films, are always artistically detailed and inspiring, although sometimes lacking in storytelling originality.
What's great about it: 3 Disc Deluxe Edtion is like a Film School in a Box

A outstanding Ridley scott film based on the novel of the raid in somalia Ridley Scott Captures a best seller and turns it into a Masterpiece worth 30 bucks!
What's great about it: Great cinematography and Visual effects
What's not so great: NONE!

"One of the best flims I have ever seen in a war environment. In a tight city full of people who want to shoot them, this film really adds that extra sense of 'being there' with them. It also does a really good job of adding a sense of real time to the film. By watching it, you get how long it has been since the Black Hawk went Down."
What's great about it: Graphics - Immersive - Stunning
What's not so great: Con for this film? Ha!

This is the best movie i have seen in a long time. There are a lot of great moments, with great visuals, great sound, and absolutely great story. It is 2 and a half hours and i wish it could be longer. It makes it a millions times a better if you have surround sound because you would be a able to hear bullets and rockets fly by you and you will feel like you are in the movie. I bet you a million bucks you will love it, and if you don't something is wrong with you (JK). Buy it, trust me.
What's great about it: Great plot, got it on sale, grate visual effect
What's not so great: nothing at all
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wonderfully filmed and acted this is a great action/shooter movie, from the american side. But it doesn't answer, nor even ask why, are the Somalians acting the way they are. What are their motivations, etc.
