Radar detector is ok, but I ended up returning and keeping my cobra radar detector. The location of the wire going from the detector to the outlet caused the wire to go right in front of my screen for my navigation.

Ok radar detector

I used this detector for a few weeks and then returned it. It was constantly giving off false alarms in the city and on the highway. It did do a good job of actually detecting police radar and laser at a good distance away, but after so many false alarms, one begins to ignore its alerts. I think that is the nature of these machines... there are too many radar sources putting off junk that it is hard even for the best of these devices to tell the difference. In the city, this machine is useless. I realized the best way to avoid getting a ticket was not to speed. The laser detector works, but by the time it beeps and says laser, the police already have your speed locked in. Don't waste your money on this device.
What's great about it: Range, looks, set-up, size
What's not so great: Too many false alarms, price
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have seen several police cars and the radar detector does not seem to notice them. very accurate when you come up to intersections and stationary radar detectors that show your speed. Seems like it has Old technology

I grew up with Cincinnati Microwave and loved their products, Found them to be superior to anything on the market and until I Purchased a wireless never did buy another brand. The wireless passports just didn't measure up, Sensitivity diminished until inferior. Then Laser came out, and competitors seem to have surpassed Cincinnati Microwave. I mounted this unit side by side with my 20 year old Laser, thinking it was time for a retirement party, only to send the Youth packing and thank my lucky stars for my Veteran Detector. The Passport goes off at every opportunity and is pointless unless you have a sleeping disorder and need constant stimulation from unnecessary alarms. Sorry my old Friend I was so hoping for more, Consolation, this was a low end unit, maybe effective usefulness just cost more?

THIS DETECTOR HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN. I CANNOT EVEN CALL IT FALSE ALERTS. IT JUST GOES OFF EVERY 5 SECONDS. I'M NOT TRAVELING IN THE CITY, IT GOES OFF IN THE COUNTRY. IN THE MIDDLE OF RICE FIELDS. THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THIS THING. FOR A $300.00 PRODUCT YOU WOULD THINK IT WILL LAST MORE THAN 30 DAYS. OH I FORGOT IT DID, 32 DAYS. JUST LONG ENOUGH FOR ME NOT TO BE ABLE TO BRING IT BACK.
NEVER, NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT.
I GAVE IT ONE STAR DUE TO THE FACT I CANNOT GIVE A ZERO
