This is a great tv. I would recommend it to anyone. The smart features work great and are easy to use. The remote control is also easy to use. Thanks Samsung.

I bought this TV for my dad for Christmas. He is one of the people who will use the products he purchases until they are no longer working--then he'll fix them. His television, while still working, has not been the best. I remember us replacing our old TV (which is still upstairs in a bedroom) with the current TV he has in the mid 90's. Naturally, it was fine for what he needed at the time. Given that technology has improved drastically since that TV was purchased, this was a no-brainer to upgrade to.
His current TV is starting to go with the colors. It will turn black and white periodically. Football games are a pain. Since channels now stream purposely for HDTV, it will cut off half the picture so we will not see scores or additional things going on for part of the picture. I said no, he needs to upgrade.
I am biased with Samsungs. I use their phones. I purchased my TV from them in 2010 and I love it--no need to upgrade here. I use their Blu-ray players (bought one of those for my dad, too). I suggest their products to everyone. They are always a quality product. When you can purchase them for great prices, wherever you buy them, it's a great choice. There is no question behind their products for me. Same with this one.
I ordered this, and had 1-3 day shipping. The shipping took a little longer than expected to deliver, but that's okay. The company did not want to leave the TV at my doorstep and scheduled a time to drop it off. I would prefer that, especially around the holidays. When I unboxed it, the TV itself was lighter than most flat-screens, which is a bonus. I purchased the 50" which will fit in my dad's living room just fine.
Overall, you can't go wrong with a Samsung TV. They're quality, last long, and have a reputable name behind them that comes with warranties to guarantee their product. I highly recommend them.

Within a week of purchase, the product was very slow to respond to the remote control. Netflix is constantly buffering. I checked my wifi network and speed, both were working fine.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

TV is perfect for my man cave. It was easy to setup to my direct tv receiver. Also easy to setup to my wireless for my Netflix
