First Review

I had the WF2450 for 2 months so far, and I can say the quality of its output is superior and also the ease of use.
I recommend it.
Buy the extra large ink pack because the normal one goes away fast as you work.

This is my first review, be tolerant. I saw this printer being used at my new place of employment. Without using the book I was able to easily navigate and perform fax and copy. With the book I was able to open a whole new set of options. My only negative, so far, was in setting up a second laptop. I don't remember seeing any instruction to hit Wi-Fi setup button. Once I did that all went smooth. I am still navigating through the book (just set up today) but thankfully your instructions are well written. I am NOT a techie so I congratulate you on a very user friendly printer. For the money...so far...I'm sold. Quality is very good. My prior printer, well the only good thing I can say the quality was good. I'm so glad it broke.

Design flaw

This printer/scanner/fax is okay with a design flaw, which is the power source in the back of the printer. The flaw is when you move the machine just the slightest of movement the power cord comes loose and is hard to plug back in and to position the machine where you want. I find this extremely frustrating.

The installation was very easy and fast. Once installed on my home network, it made the second install all that much easier. Adding this to a second computer semed to go even faster. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Excellent value and quality for the price. Good choice!!!!

Ok, but buggy

If you have Office 2013 or 365, be careful during the setup process. During installation you will have four boxes that are pre-selected, one of which is Abbyy Fine Reader. UN-CHECK THAT BOX. If you use it with Office 2013 or 365 it will interfere with Word and Excel making the programs stop working. Abbyy Fine Reader is intended to allow you to edit documents you scan, and un-clicking the box during installation will not stop you from scanning, just editing scanned documents.

I was looking for an Epson printer since my old Epson needed head cleaning and alignments every month. I received this new Epson within three days. I set it up in a short period of time. The biggest difficulty is remembering to set it to print photos. It produces quality photos. This printer has a multi page feed. It is compact but does a lot.

A Pleasant Surprise!

Back in the dark ages, I purchased a couple of Epson printers and had some problems with them. I decided after 12 years that I needed to give Epson another chance. The display in the store, the working model, and the salesperson led me to buy the WF-2540. I've only had it a day, but I've put it through its paces. The hardware and software setup, and connection to my wireless network could not have been easier. The documentation was clear, and the setup went quickly and smoothly. Of course, I had to go immediately to another part of the house and try printing over wi-fi. (This is my first wireless printer.) My IPad and IPhone found the WF 2540 immediately without any special additioinal steps and when I hit print, I smiled as I heard the printer begin processing the job. I tried the manual duplexing and several other tasks. The output looks crisp and clear. Good job, Epson! I'm back!
