Easy setup and installation of Epson WF-2540

Printer was easy to unpack, was easy setting up by following "START HERE" 4-page quick setup guide and easy to connect computer wirelessly to printer.
Epson Connect was also easy to set up.
Printed a test sheet and a couple of other tests wirelessly and was ready to go.
Satisfied so far.
Use update in a month or so.

I find this All In One printer quite easy to use and initially when I had questions about it, Epson readily answered all of them.
My only regret is that I didn't realize that the fax does not store received or sent messages. I didn't think to ask that question when purchasing the unit.
After all is said and done I would not hesitate to recommend this machine to anyone who asks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New Epson wifi printer

Well, this is the first time I have ever bought a printer and hooked it up all by myself on the first try. I immediately sent a photo from my email on my cell phone to the printer (wifi) and up it popped! Beautiful. So far, I love it! Easy to set up and to understand how to get it all going. I've worked all day on hooking up my smart TV with wifi and no luck...my carrier has not been helpful and I am not able to understand all the verbage of the how tos! Thank goodness for my new Epson WF-2540! Love it! Sarajean

Well, I haven't used it totally yet, but for what I
have, its been fine.

Its my second Epson inkjet. I'm a retired computer hardware engineer and IT professional.
Its for home use only, which I recommend and I advise something more substantial for office or business use.
It works well mechanically and the quality of print is fine for something of this price range.
Unfortunately, I've found as others, it has a thirst for ink and the XL supposedly larger capacity cartridges, run out just as fast as the standard or economical cartridges. So, in that one regard, the costs for inks, is disappointing. Even so, I recommend it for home use and small print jobs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After only 3 weeks, I cannot get it to print in black ink. The colors work fine, but without the black the pictures look terrible. The print alignment is terribly confusing, so it might be part of the problem. So for me, this purchase was a dud. Very frustrating & expensive as I am wasting cartridge after cartridge to try to solve the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The one feature i like the most is the ability to use all of the inks together to mix to black in order to finish the document so it can be printed and distributed.
I would suggest always using the Xl cartridges as it does seem to be a good deal for the page count.
I do wish the standard cartridges lasted longer.
All of the other features are easy to use and the menu has the help feature and has good tutorials in case youneed a reminder on how to use them.

Nice printer but feed mechanism may be an issue

Generally I'm very happy with this printer. It's easy to use and the wifi capability is great for the 3 or more non-USB attached computers we have "connected" to it. I like the scanning ability - and the software is pretty clear to use.
My only fear is the feeder mechanism for the paper. I've had several cases where is the paper isn't perfect, the feeder runs the paper in crooked or jams towards the end. Not sure what the issue is - and I've only had it 4 or so months. Hopfully it won't fail on me before the warranty.

Love it. Used to create calendars that required good quality picture reproduction. Definitely met the quality I was looking for. Nice speed. Easy to set up and user friendly to configure printer, fax or scanner. Nice product for the money.
