I love this machine

I love the way this machine looks. But I really love the way it works. It is very easy to use and my clothes get really clean. I am very happy with it, and I do recommend it to my family and friends.

HAD THIS DRYER FOR A FEW MONTH NOW. NOT ISSUES, LIKE THE SIZE AND HOW QUIET IT IS.

Excellent dryer

This dryer performs well. Like other reviewers, I have been impressed by how well it dries towels. Combined with the super fast (although somewhat overkill) spin cycle on the matching washer, it is definitely a much quicker way to wash and dry towels.
I favor the "Permanent Press/Casual" setting so the wrinkles don't set in right away if I forget to check my clothes when the dry cycle finishes. Also like other reviewers, I found that sometimes not everything dries the first time on this setting #socks in particular#... but I plan for this so I can take out half the load when it "finishes" and then use the timed dry for the remaining items for a few minutes while I fold the other half of the load.
Overall, a great value, and I'm very happy with this dryer.

Nice Dryer only if was quieter

At cold startup, this dryer makes loud hammering noise which fades away within a minute. It just doesn't sound ok for a dryer of this price range. I called the service once, they could not figure out what was wrong. They said its normal for dryer to make this sound at startup, once the belt gets a good grip on the drum it goes away. In my opinion, that is not normal. I am in the process of call a 2nd service call. Also, this dryer DLG4871W is not even listed in the Product Finder page, not sure why. My 1st experience with LG products is not going well. The washer seems to work ok... so far.

Chime could be louder for when clothes are done. Overall nice dryer. Says you can buy a rack separately, but haven't found a way to do that yet.

It does not over dry the clothes

Has a large drum, many choices with settings, and the finish makes it easy to wipe off. The clothes are left not bunched up and they dry soft and fluffy. There seems to be less static in the clothing.

The dryer has lots of setting to choose from, even though I haven't had a lot of different laundry to dry, just towels, whites, jeans, permanent press. the dials are great to adjust temp, time and an alarm to let me know they are done. The only thing I don't like, like many houses the washer is on the right and the dryer on the left, I wish we could have ordered the door to the dryer to open the other way.

Love this dryer!

I have to mention that we also bought the 4870C washer because clothes are very dry coming out of the wash as opposed to those coming out of our old agitator-style washing machine. So, the drying time is greatly reduced and I love the musical tune that plays to let me know when they are ready as opposed to the old buzzer that horrified me. Super fast and efficient! Love the different settings too to protect "shrinkables!"
