Get a printer with wired LAN instead

After struggling to associate this printer to my wireless AP, I gave up in frustration. The root of the issue comes down to security. I use MAC address filtering as part of my AP security. Even with the printer's address properly whitelisted it could not join the network and there are not adequate user controls to debug why. I should have bought a printer with wired LAN (and actually was surprised when I opened the box that this one didn't have it).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy set up and I did it by myself. I didn't have to have my son help. The CD takes you right through everything. We have printed some pictures and they turned out great. I do have to get the better photo paper and try it but on the everyday paper they are like I sent them out Wireless printing is really nice, from any where in the house. I impressed my son with printing from my phone. Easy app setup for old guys like me. I used the auto feed to scan several pages and I am impressed with the speed. 10 pages right away, my old photosmart took forever to scan. It was all in one file too, not that I blame the old printer, I would not set it up right. My wife loves the recipe apps. I have not tried the duplex printing yet but I am sure it will be fine too. I retired my old photosmart after 7 years although it is going to my daughter for use at school. I hope this printer lasts as long and prints as well;

It was more than we wanted but great anyway

We were looking for a color printer, without scan, fax, or copy capabilities, but could not find one that was good enough for our photo requirements. So, after sending a print-only machine back and replacing it with the Photosmart 7520, we are really pleased with the photo quality of printing. We have not enabled the scan, copy, or fax capabilities, all we want it to do is print well and that it does. It seems that the farther away from my technical IT days I get the simpler I want my PC attachments, but it you want a good photo printer, this one is worth trying out.
I called to arrange the replacement of the earlier printer and could only get a busy signal, so I used the chat line instead. 20 minutes later the deal was arranged: I had what I needed to send the first printer back and had the replacement ordered. It should be noted that my original sales person, Garth, recommended that I try the HP Photosmart 7520 before I bought the other one and he was correct. This was a great transaction.

I bought this printer as an adjunct to the one I have. Every time my printers went
on the fritz, I couldn't order the same one again because they were no longer being
made! I got tired of not being able to get the same one. What's with you guys?
I was quite happy with the "old" technology. I think things have gotten out of hand
in this day and age.

Yellow printhead will not print

I have tried multiple times to align and clean the cartridges, even installed a new yellow cartridge, but I still can't get yellow ink. Please replace this printer with another 7520. Thank you.

Average WIFI poor FAX

The copy scan functions are just fine. The FAX which is one of the major reasons I bought it is garbage with VOIP and overly complicated to even attempt to get it to work. so that is a -5 on FAX.
Uses too much ink also.
