Great value for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of months ago. Rather than getting the standard brand that's usually at the hardware stores again, I wanted to try something different. That last "other brand" disposal I had was cheap and loud.
I did some research and found this Frigidaire model for the same price, but it offered more sound insulation. I was skeptical since it was the same low price and I didn't know Frigidaire to make garbage disposals, but I gave it a go.
This garbage disposal outperforms the last one I had and is noticeably quieter. It looks much nicer too, even though it'll spend its life under the kitchen sink hidden.
The only issue I have is the design of the rubber pieces in the opening of the garbage disposal where it attaches to the flange. When the water drains, it doesn't drain quickly because the those rubber pieces are just flaps that have a small opening in the center. It causes the water to pool a little at the bottom of the drain, which gets worse if food gets stuck there. The other brand had staggered rubber pieces that allowed the water to drain more quickly.
Despite this one flaw, I would definitely get this over my previous one given the choice again.

Rust and leaks

Rusted out. The company doesnt' respond. Read the reviews. They should last 10 years not 2 or 3. Pics are all different serial #'s. When they say someone is working with you, they mean they've told you, there hasn't been any reported defects with this years batch.

Great Appliance...However I have came up with a problem... took awhile to figure out where the restart button is/was and it did not fix the problem.

quiet but powerful
