Disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this washer going on 8 years. preformed great till about a year ago,
It started to do extra rinses & spin cycles, over and over again, sometime going
for 2 hours or more. I notice that most reviews that deal with the same issue
started when the washer turned more or less 7 years old. Is this the life expectancy
of the machine or is just a coincidence in all these reviews.
This must also go the same the matching dryer also having issues after 7 years.
Never use my warranty or extended warranty and now all these issues occur after
7 years, and not only me, but many other of you buyers. Always love my L G products,
but not no more. Very Very Disappointed.

Horrible washing machine. Clothes never really get

I have had the washer for 5 years now and am fully convinced to nevrr by LG appliances ever again. The main draw back is this design doesn't have an agitator. Linens never get clean and whites are now all off white. I would higly recommend to never buy an LG appliance again. High efficiency water use apparently means not using enough water to cover the clothes. So many issues with this stupid washijg machine. Worst purchase of my life. No way to soak and use fabric softner at the same time either. DO NOT BY AN LG WASHING MACHINE

Sever Balancing Issues

We bought this machine about 7 years ago, mainly because we are on a well and want to conserve water and save energy... So much for that. I've disliked this machine almost from the very beginning. I have to place and arrange each piece of clothing in the washer one by one, based on weight, in order to self balance the load before even turning the washer on. Then I have to watch thru the class lid as the machine starts, to make sure it is balanced. If I see it's not balanced, I have to open the machine and rearrange the placement of the cloths; many times I have to do this process over and over again. If the balancing isn't exactly right the washer will take forever spinning and stopping over an over again to "balance" the loan before the wash cycle will even begin. Oh and forbid the load gets off balance prior to the spin cycle. The washer will completely fill with water, empty the water & try to spin again; completing this process over and over again until the load is "balanced". I have literally (and I know the meaning of literally) had a load underway for over 3 hours, before I had to step in and rebalance the load by hand. We will not start a load and leave this washing machine unattended! We would have gotten rid of this washer years ago, but can't justify it if the machine isn't actually broken beyond repair. I've just learned to deal with it. I'll never buy this washing machine again or recommend this style of washing machine.

Drainage problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a tech come out and change out the drain pump, but still doesn't drain. He said there could be wiring issue, suggested we replace after only 6 years of use. No problems until this, but hoped it would last longer before needing replaced.

Don't get clothes clean

Have had this unit for 7 years and so far it has been very durable but unless you have a office job and no kids a agitator less washer will not be for you.

Overall great until the motor stopped spinning

No problems whatsoever and suddenly in April 2022, it starts making a grinding sound, and the LE code shows on the panel. Followed all the steps suggested and nothing changed so I called an LG certified repair service locally. The reason I gave 4 stars is because LG covered the motor under their 10-year warranty. I only pay labor cost. Repairs expected today and hopefully it will continue to run well.

Unbalanced / Clutch issues

After only 7 years this machine keeps giving error code and now recommended maintenance which will cost about half of the cost when purchased. Buying from a reputable brand that’s been making them for a long time.

Currently shopping for a different washing machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washing machine is awful and I’m finally going to just buy a different brand one. It worked for a few years but then I consistently got UE errors the loads are never balanced right I’ve called numerous times and tried all the tips. I was told I use too much soap but that didn’t fix the issue after three suggested tub cleans. Sometimes it will rinse and spin my babies clothes for hours all day long it’s a huge inconvenience! I want a basic washing machine with an agitator sometimes all the bells and whistles don’t work out!!!
