Get ready to sit by your washer

Worked great first couple of years then it constantly reads uneven reading. It refills and tries to balance but doesn’t. You have to pull things out and replace etc. The cycles go for over an hour + for a load.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This washer lasted 4 years for a family of 4 before having problems that won't be worth repairing. It is a terrible product. From day 1, it has never finished within the amount of time specified. Speed wash takes almost 1 hour and cleans poorly. It can only handle large loads on the bulky bedding cycle, which is like a gentle cycle. Regular cycles hold as much as small old-style top loader. It is incapable of washing large loads well. As it has aged, it overfills and wastes water. It has errors that stop it mid-cycle, but it sometimes works again if you cut power and restart. There should be laws against producing items as short-lived and unreliable as this one.

Paid too much for worst washer EVER!

I have had this washer for going on 5 years. Paid way too much thinking it would last me way longer than 5 years,worst decision ever will never buy LG ever again. Kept getting unbalanced each time finally the pump would not drain. replace drain pump and still not working. Find out the control board has gone out and not u no warranty only had 1 year warranty on main control board ! Really ! Paid way more for high rating product but end up being the worst Product ever purchased. NEVER Buying LG Ever again! “ life is good” no life is expensive if you buy LG”

Could not be worse

This washer was already in the house we purchased. I see why the previous owners didn't want to take it with them. This was is constantly unbalanced even when empty and it finishes a cycle about 10% of the time. The unit is level on the floor and I had to drill holes in the basket to attach springs to help keep it from being unbalanced. I can't express how frustrated I am with my washer. We will never purchase another LG appliance.

Disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this washer going on 8 years. preformed great till about a year ago,
It started to do extra rinses & spin cycles, over and over again, sometime going
for 2 hours or more. I notice that most reviews that deal with the same issue
started when the washer turned more or less 7 years old. Is this the life expectancy
of the machine or is just a coincidence in all these reviews.
This must also go the same the matching dryer also having issues after 7 years.
Never use my warranty or extended warranty and now all these issues occur after
7 years, and not only me, but many other of you buyers. Always love my L G products,
but not no more. Very Very Disappointed.

Uneven load on all loads with non cotton clothes

There is a sticker that says do not wash water resistant clothing. All athletic wear seems to cause uneven loads when doing spin cycle. Seems like they turned a product defect into a sticker note. My wife hates this washer, cause every load tries to balance for hours. Waste of money. Huge water consumption on “unbalance recovery”

Don't use this washer!

If I could give it zero stars I would. It was in a home we bought. Always uneven loaded. Also during a cycle malfunctioned and emptied out onto our floor damaging the entire laundry room and the livingroom below.

Would rather use a tub and washboard

You could not give me one of these. Place I was renting had one. I ended up taking my clothes to the laundromat because the washer doesn't clean well. This is a geek machine with electronic this and electronic that. Any woman who knows what it takes to get clean laundry will want to steer clear of this machine.
