The capacity of this washer is huge.

Using this washer for the past few weeks, I have found the clothes to smell fresher. Plus, I am able to wash large loads with very good results. I am learning how to customize loads to meet specific needs, and I think this washer is going to perform well in the long term. The style of the washer, with the buttons in the front, is perfect because I have my washer and dryer in a laundry closet. I can reach and see the buttons so much better than on my former washer.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Quality

This is a great machine. As a family of 6 I like the high capacity. We joke that watching the wash through the window in the lid is better than TV. The washer has lots of settings to meet all your needs and does a good job cleaning the clothes. The only thing I would change is having 2 laundry soap dispensers as I like to use liquid soap along with oxyclean powder. I just put the powder in the bottom of the machine before loading the clothes. It works just fine. I also know that LG has great customer service as they repaired my frig damaged during hurricane SANDI. I love this company!

A++++++++++, We have a family of 6 and loads to be washed pile up fast around our home, between working out in the yard on the cars or even just playing in the yard. This washer is great at getting our clothes clean and my kids school clothes still look like they did when we bought them. My wash room is right next to the master bedroom and we dont hear the cycles, now and then you hear it spinning or the water running but other then that youu dont hear it. You can stand in front of it and talk on your phone and it will not get load.

Love This Washer - Excellent Value

I knew I wanted a LG Brand Washer after comparing prices and reading all the excellent reviews on this washer compared wth other brands of washers. I purchased it without actually seeing it in person, because none of the stores had one in stock. I am SO glad I did. This washer has a lot of great features. My favorite features are the controls in front, the glass see-through lid, the small openng in the lid to dry any moisture left in the drum after washing a load, the variety of wash and rinse options, the dispensers for detergent, fabric softener, and bleach, and being able to stop and add a garment after the washer has already started to wash. I have washed sheets, comforters, kids clothes, towels, jeans, and delicates. And, everything has come out clean. The machine is very qute while washing and plays a little tune when the wash is finished. Since I am 5'4", at first it was hard for me to get some items (mainly kids small socks and underwear) out of the back of the deep tub after the wash was completed. But, I solved that problem by simply turnng the tub around to the front to reach the smal items in the bottom of the tub, or standing on a small stool. I am very happy with this washer and would definitetly recommend it to anyone wanting an excellent washer at a great price.

Interesting design easy to use

This machine looks like a large bread machine. The only complaint that I have for this unit is that it goes out of balance a lot. If you are not paying attention your laundry will just be sitting there doing nothing. You have to shift the load around over and over that is why it is annoying. This especially happens with bulky loads despite the bulky load setting.

THIS WASHER GOES OFF BALANCE ALMOST EVERY LOAD, EVEN THOUGH I CAREFULLY POSITION THE CLOTHES. MAKES A LOT OF NOISE. PRICE WAS GOOD. LOTS OF GOOD FEATURES BUT STILL STRUGGLING WITH IT AND HAVE OWNED FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS.

A very pleasant surprise

My wife is a maniac about clothes washing (she does not allow me to be involved except to transport the hampers). When our old washer died unexpectedly, we couldn't consider a front load because she needed to be able to open the lid during the cycle to see and touch the clothes. This model, great price, great reviews, floated to the top of our consideration. If we spent more, we would have gotten more cycles but not much else (what's the use of a "baby blanket" cycle if you don't have babies?).
The first time she used the washer, it freaked her out because the water barely covers the clothes - she was used to the clothes swimming in a sea. The amount of soap that she added was comparatively miniscule to what she was used to in our old washer. When the clothes were being agitated, it was slow and controlled - not like the mayhem she was used to with our 7 year old washer that had a central agitator column. The first couple of times she did loads, it gave her fits. She was very apprehensive and kept saying that she was not sure this was going to do the job.
My wife has successfully completed her break-in period and has reached a few very important conclusions: 1) this washer is the bomb! 2) Clothes are getting at least as clean as she expects, 3) the whole water level thing has become a matter of marvel that clothes actually can get clean with so little water, 4) this washer squeezes out more water in the spin cycle than our old washer, but because she is able to do fewer/larger loads, the drier time per load is the same (with fewer/larger loads), and finally, 5) although at 5 feet tall, my wife has had some challenges reaching clothes at the bottom of the tub - this is not a deal breaker since she calls me in when she needs help - we continue to enjoy the capacity since we have a king-sized bed.
Assuming this washer is not a repair nightmare (we have had no issues so far in our >1 month of ownership), this might be the best washer we have ever had.

Absolutely Fantastic!

Fantastic machine. Easy installation. Up and washing in under 10 minutes. Absolutely the easiest washer I have ever had. It is so quiet than I often forget I am washing. Clothes are very clean and the spin dry is so effective I have cut my drying time in half. Only wish I had bought this machine when it first came out.
The main reason I considered this machine was because Consumer Reports had ranked it #1. As usual, Consumer Reports was right on. Thank you Consumer Reports and thank you LG.
