Best Washer I've Ever Owned

I'm a guy. I like muscle cars, football, baseball, cigars, beer and now this LG washing machine.
My wife and I picked up this washer about 6 months ago and I am really amazed on how well it works. I never would have thought that I would be giving a gushing review about a washing machine but here I am.
Maybe it's because we've had such horrible machines in the past but this thing is the quietest, most efficient and easiest machine I've ever used. I'm wondering if people who say the machine isn't quiet have a defective washer. I only say this because I often have to peek my head in the laundry room to see if it's actually running.
With the tap of a few buttons you can do anything from changing the water temperature to selecting the soil level of the clothes. Adding bleach and fabric softener is a no-brainer.
The HE soap seems to work just fine for us--then again we're not filthy slobs so that might have something to do with it. We don't nearly have to buy soap as often, that's for sure.
The glass top is a nice feature that allows you to see what's going on. The lid features a "soft close" hinge so it won't slam down. There is also a vent you can open up on the lid that allows moisture to escape and prevents that mildew smell.
All the buttons and controls for the washer have been moved from the far side to right in front. Makes a lot of sense to me!
Overall, I'm very satisfied.

This is the best washer we've ever owned.

We are extremely happy with our washer. The controls are well placed and easy to understand. It is the quietest machine we've ever had. The washed clothes never come out of the machine all tangled and the spin cycle leaves the clothes so dry that we find that we can also save money because the dryer takes less time and energy to dry them.

This washer clearly has a design defect. On almost every small load, the uneven load error message will display and the washer will stop, and you have to move the clothes around. It can take hours and hours to get a small load done because of this problem. We own an LG dryer that works great, but this washer is absolutely awful. DO NOT BUT THIS MACHINE.
Pros: no good features, poorly designed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Best Washer I've Ever Owned

I have been highly impressed with this washing machine since the day it was installed. In the past, I had to take extra steps with using pre-wash products to ensure that every clothing stain was treated before washing. That is a thing of the past with my LG washer. It not only cleans beautifully but it is highly efficient because of all the available wash, rinse and spin cycles.
I have also been highly impressed with the after-sale support and helpful hints that LG has provided. And, I know that LG is there should I have any questions or issues that may arise.

Quiet operation for first floor installation

We have a laundry room located on first floor and it has been quiet enough not to disturb anyone in the nearby bedrooms. However, the end of cycle signal is very quiet as well. I wish you could adjust the volume. Laundry comes out very clean with minimal detergent, even with larger loads.

Easy to use. Great washer

Was very surprised how easy it was to use right away without having to read many pages in the instruction book. Also has been excellent in its cleaning and spinning features. Clothes come out almost dry. This machine has one of the highest spin rates according to our research. We liked it so much that we bought the matching dryer.

GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY

I never have used a washer without an agitator.
Researched a wide variety of washers and read
reviews from a number of sales and technical sites.
The LG WT1101CT stood out as being the combination of a good washer for a fair price. Gave it a try. So far it has lived up to all of my standards. My clothes are cleaner than other washers I have used. I can wash items like quilts which I could not get into my other washers. Its very fast spin cycle leaves my clothes dry enough that I do not have to use my dryer as long. Less lint in my washer screen means that the washer was gentler to my clothing fabrics.

Super wash and Super Quiet

This washer and matching gas dryer were our first LG purchases. We were very impressed with the features when we saw them in the store, especially the soak feature. This washer works like magic and is so quiet. My father is 84 and lives with us now. He likes to do his own laundry and he can run the washer and dryer without any problems - he loves the soak feature. My husband and I love how quiet the machine is when running. The laundry comes out beautifully clean and the tub is so big - I almost need a step stool to reach the bottom! If we need to buy anything else, we will definitely look at LG products. I give my highest recommendation for this washer and dryer and guarantee that you won't regret buying one.
