GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY

I never have used a washer without an agitator.
Researched a wide variety of washers and read
reviews from a number of sales and technical sites.
The LG WT1101CT stood out as being the combination of a good washer for a fair price. Gave it a try. So far it has lived up to all of my standards. My clothes are cleaner than other washers I have used. I can wash items like quilts which I could not get into my other washers. Its very fast spin cycle leaves my clothes dry enough that I do not have to use my dryer as long. Less lint in my washer screen means that the washer was gentler to my clothing fabrics.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality

Super wash and Super Quiet

This washer and matching gas dryer were our first LG purchases. We were very impressed with the features when we saw them in the store, especially the soak feature. This washer works like magic and is so quiet. My father is 84 and lives with us now. He likes to do his own laundry and he can run the washer and dryer without any problems - he loves the soak feature. My husband and I love how quiet the machine is when running. The laundry comes out beautifully clean and the tub is so big - I almost need a step stool to reach the bottom! If we need to buy anything else, we will definitely look at LG products. I give my highest recommendation for this washer and dryer and guarantee that you won't regret buying one.

Great Washer

When checking this out before we purchased, we read the reviews and we were concerned with the odd bad review - but we sure have been surprised. What a great washer for the price. No Out of Balance problems, clothes come out clean, runs no more the 50-60 mins per wash, very efficient with water - what else can I say. Make sure you level the machine and use the right laundry products.

Heavily soiled clothes will not get cleaned.

Have not had any major issues with washing machine except that my work clothes do not get clean. I am a construction worker and my clothes get very dirty. I pretreat and wash on the heavily soiled settings and this machine will not get them clean. My other washer that this machine replaced had no trouble getting them clean in one wash and it was over 10 years old. I have to wash them twice using the bulky/bedding selection just to get them wearable, so there goes my "HIGH EFFICIENCY" that I was trying to achieve. I am probably spending more money using this washer than my other 10+ year older washer.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Review on both Washer & Dryer
on December 3, 2014

LG Model: DLG1102W - 7.3 cu. ft. Dryer (Gas)
LG Model: WT1101CW - 4.3 cu. ft. Washer
PURCHASE DATE: 10/17/2014
Although I am crazy mad in love with my 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Dryer (the best dryer I have ever owned), I am still trying to accept my 4.3 cu. ft. Large Capacity Top Load Washer Front Control Panel and the low water level. I always wash just about everything on the Bulky/Bedding cycle because the tub fills up with water all the way. On all the other settings the water level barely covers the clothes (of course I stare into the glass top to watch the washing process) and I keep seeing the same clothes on the top that don't seem to go down into the water. I hope someone can explain this process.Till I feel clothes are being washed at the cycle the washer buttons suggest, I am not comfortable with the water level on Cotton, Heavy Duty, etc. All and all they are both heavy duty, well made appliances and very quiet. Still would recommend. J. Gambill

Flawless

This machine has exceeded my expectations. Its large capacity allows me to double the size of laundry loads than my old machine handled and finishes in less amount of time. I've not had a sour smelling load yet like the old front loader caused. It's so much more quiet, and my clothes are coming out cleaner - no dingy soapy feel at all. The load selection presets work perfectly and are simple to use but also easy to adjust if needed. Using less water and detergent is money saving bonus.

Great value - Great product!

My 13+ year old washer bit the dust so I had to get a new one. This washer was the 4th ranked top-load HE washer and also ranked as a best value by Consumer Report so we checked it out. I had wanted a front loading washer but it wouldn't have fit in my laundry room because of clearance needed by the laundry room door.
I couldn't be happier!! My clothes are coming out so much cleaner than before. They are drying much faster now also. The self-determining water level makes me feel better when I have to do a smaller load. It appears to be very flexible as far as what types of loads you are doing, also. The lack of the center column that was present in my old washer is a definite plus. I no longer have things that get caught in the agitator and either get stretched out or start unraveling! The fact that it needed special HE detergent threw me at first, but nowadays it appears the vast majority of detergents are HE so it's not a problem - nor a big price increase. The almost best part is the fact that I no longer have to guess if the load is done. Not only do I get a minute countdown display if I happen to be passing by; I get a pretty little melody when the load is finished. One of my other favorite features is the fact that I can put a load in at night and set the machine to wash it the next morning so that it's finished when I get up and I can then immediately hang clothes outside should I so chose. The only downside is that I have to stand on tippy-toes to reach small things on the bottom when they're finished, such as socks etc. Somebody suggested I get one of those extension grabber thingies (very technical term - I know....) but so far I can get things out on my own.
I would recommend this washer to anybody. I'm very pleased with it!

Clothes and blanket are not completely cleaned
on February 16, 2015

I used front load before and just changed to the new front load washer 'cause the reviews and the seller told me that this model is very popular. I moved to a new place where I need to place them on the basement. I concerned about the rubber on the front load will get mold then I decided to buy the top load. (My previous place the washer is placed where the sunlight can dry out the washer and I had been using it for 4 years) I was disappointed because I washed my queen size blanket which only 2 layers (with nothing stuffed inside such as down or polyester) came out not clean. There's lots of dust stick on the blanket. I tried many ways such as bulk feature, used heavy soil, extra rinse and even rinse and spin again after end first load but still the dust all over the blanket. I want to know how I can get rid them out. I wish I could exchange or return to the front load. I watched the washer while it was working. It uses less water and sprays water on the cloths only one time rinse and then spin. I'm not sure about the clothes will be completely cleaned. I found out when it washed the blanket and see the dust where the water and spin time couldn't reach and wash it cleaned.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
