[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer because we wanted a top-loading, direct drive washer and LG had a good reputation. It wasn't long before we started getting "UE" codes, sensing an unbalanced load. We would rearrange the wash and it usually would complete the wash. After this happened several more times I called LG and was given instruction on how to load the machine (heavy items accounted for no more than 1/3 the load, and other instructions).We followed the recommendations and still had problems. Sometimes we would wash 6 towels and it would complete...we would then do the same wash the next week and it would unbalance...GO FIGURE! Every time we wash we "hold our breath", hoping the cycle will complete without any errors. We recently had a failure (code PE) and were told to call a service person (who LG recommended). He was able to "reset" the failing part but said it could go at anytime. It said part of the reason for this failure was the occasional "unbalancing" that would cause the washer to "vibrate/shake" and this could cause the part to deteriorate faster. Bottom line....we have an LG dryer and LG refrigerator (we are happy with both) but are VERY disappointed with the washer...we would NOT buy another LG washer because of this negative experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this washer for about 5 years now, and the sensors are acting up. It can't detect the correct level of water for large loads compared to smaller ones. It keeps displaying "IE" which is apparently an error code and when I try to diagnose it, the problem remains.

This is not the LG quality I was expecting. Other than the other model of LG traditional upright washer I had, this one had an repair few year after purchase and totally becoming unrepairable in less than 10 years. Don't buy it!
