Do not buy this washer!

I purchased this washer in May 2013 and have had nothing but trouble. It is suppose to have True Balance technology and be water efficient, but does neither. It has an uneven load issue and will keep refilling with water to try and even the load. After several times of filling with water it will eventually stop the load, then flash a Ue code to let you know that you now have to even the load yourself. My washer is in my basement so therefore I have to babysit it every time I wash clothes to prevent it from filling with water and also to keep redistributing the clothes otherwise my clothes will never make it through a complete cycle. I have tried everything to get my clothes to run a whole cycle without this disruption and nothing works. I have had repair people out to look at it and they say it is how the washer is made, there is nothing they can do to fix this. My best advise is do not buy this washer, LG has also been hard to deal with to resolve this issue. I have also heard other complaints on this washer, so I'm not the only one. This washer is terrible!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent machine; also, very entertaining to use! Uses very little water and detergent, yet clothes have never been cleaner. VERY quiet operation.

My LG Washer is great

I really like my new washer, it cleans clothes really well. I like all the features it has, and it is fun just learning how to use it. I love the music you get when the load is finished washing. I checked out the reviews for the washer and the dryer and they are top notch, and I agree with them.
The only problem I have is, how deep it is. I am only 4'11 so I need a stool or my husband to get the clothes out of the washer.

Washer smells awful after every use.

Bought this machine 090113 smells awful and of mildew since the first load. Was told to use washer cleaner. Would not b have bought if I knew this was a common side affect we would have to live with. Oh well buyer beware.

For the month we have owned the washer, we are pleased with its performance and features. Our only concern to date is the warning against washing waterproof or water-resistant items. We recently washed a light weight water-resistant jacket, but followed online suggestions (placed item at bottom of load, ensured no air was trapped, and used slow spin cycle) and all went well. We will have to see how much of a problem this constraint on washable items may be.

This washer is an excellent machine. With the many choices and customizable wash cycles, you can set it to work best for your particular laundry needs yet not too confusing to be able to set it and go. Very quiet and spins clothes extremely well, cutting down on drying time. The wash tub holds a huge amount of laundry. If you have a large family, this is the washer for you!

Great Washer, lots of features

I have owned this washer for about 2 months and I am very happy with its performance and its capacity. You can stuff A LOT of clothes in this machine!. My only 2 gripes are the longer cycle times (be prepared for each load to take at least an hour), and the fact that the fabric softener cycle needs to be selected every time.

Wow!!! This washer has it all! It's has amazing features but is not at all complicated to use...It has a washer setting for everything...you can customize your settings anyway you want or key in the type of load you have and the it will automatically set the cycle best suited for that particular wash load...it has a large roomy drum that holds very large loads of clothing or bedding or towels or what ever...it levels the wash load automatically when you start the washer...It plays a cute little melody to let you know that you wash is done...Even the dirtiest clothing comes out ultra clean and smelling fresh...the spin cycle practically dries your clothing before they even go into the dryer... It's so quiet that you can barely hear it running... if there is a problem with the washer you can call LG and over the phone they can diagnose what the problem is and if you need to call a repair man or if its something that you can fix yourself without having to pay to have someone come out to look at the machine. There are so many other reasons why I love this machine but I think that you get the point! I have never been so excited over a washing machine until now. This washing machine is absolutely amazing!!!!!
