Continual unbalanced issues, ties my shirt sleeves

This machine started out fine, but the older it gets the more it quits during spin cycle with unbalanced code. Had a tech diagnose, no clear error. Said could try replacing motor and or board, but would be over 1/2 the price of buying a new one.

We hate to hear that you experienced a problem with your unit. Your feedback is especially important to us and your concerns will be shared with our marketing and product teams. We work continuously to improve the quality of our products and anticipate market demands that drive customer satisfaction. Regrettably, the unit had a 1 year warranty on parts and labor. You can contact Customer Support on Twitter via @LGUSSupport or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/LGUSA/ for possible repair options that would be at your expense. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused. ^Daphane
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My washing machine was delivered on February 26 and it is great! It has a huge load capacity, it virtually silent, and. does an excellent job of cleaning. Consumers Report recommendation was 100% accurate.

I hate this washing machine. It does not clean clothes no matter what kind of detergent or cycle. Water stays cold even on hot cycle. Does not rinse clothes very well and leaves soap stains in clothes. I have to run clothes through second rinse cycle. I wish I could return it but too late now. Do not buy this machine.

I purchased a house a year ago that had this washer, and I hate it. It becomes uneven constantly, even when I take the time to carefully distribute the clothes around the drum and not overpack. I am able to fill the drum only about 1/4 full...significantly less clothes than I could put in my prior washing machine. The feature I really hate is that when it gets unbalanced, it will refill with water and essentially restart the spin cycle, resulting in a huge waste of water and a very very long wash cycle (sometimes 2-3 hours). I thought washers switched to HE/low water technology about ten years ago, yet this feature uses excessive water. I’m glad to see it has been discontinued, but I’d be wary of any “smart drum” or “true balance” technology. Another example of technology taking us backward rather than forward.

We purchased the washing machine in 2014 and it worked great for about two years, than we would always get unbalanced load warning and it would try to balance the load by adding more water would take up to 2 hours to do a load, then it would not lock, year 2.5 had the circuit board replaced and every thing was fine year three, same thing replaced circuit board again and everything fine.the washer is now seven years old and we always get unbalanced loads, usually when you are doing 5 to 6 items door lock malfunction all the time. this is the worst washer we have ever owned.
