Cleans great, comical to watch, but takes so long

I'm glad I eventually read all the instructions. It is not intuitive. The fact that I almost always use fabric softener means I'm always having to punch the Special Use button a couple times. And that adds to the already very long operating time. I wish it had a "custom program" button that would remember MY default settings. With the washer on a 4" high step-up in my garage, at 5'11", I still have to stand on my toes to reach the bottom of the tub. And I am still so glad I bought this machine.

How many times can you say "AWESOME"?
That's how I feel everytime I use my new LG washer.
Being a full time caregiver to my elderly mom, I find myself doing more laundry than I thought possible. Mom's 93...how dirty can her clothes get?
The answer is ... plenty! Not so much dirt, but since mom is a complete invalid, her clothes quickly take on the odor of a non-mobile person. I do her laundry every two days.
What a workout for my machine....YET...it handles the extra washings. Awesome.
With my former washer, I made many trips through the years to the dry cleaners to have blankets, comforters, and other large items cleaned.
I don't have to do that anymore!! My beautiful LG is large enough to handle all that extra bulk! Awesome.
What surprised me when I picked it out was that the outside was the perfect width but the inside was larger than the other brands . . . . compact yet large... awesome!!
The fact that the washer automatically figures out the correct amount of water to be used is phenomenal... no more wasted water from overfilling the machine. Awesome!
One of my favorite features is the delay wash. How cool is that?? I can load my machine, set the timer and go to bed. When I awake in the morning, the clothes are done and ready for the dryer. What a time saver!! Awesome!!
I really did try, before I wrote this review to find something degrotory about my LG washer. As hard as I tried, I found nothing...so to me, this machine is the perfect answer to a busy woman's life.
It's just that AWESOME!!

Easy to Use!

So far, this washer has been easy to use and pleasant! The only thing that I noticed, that has now seemed get better, was it didn't seem to wash the clothes as good as other washers. My husband's underarm, deo stains, have never showed before. It has been better now, hopefully, the washer just had to "warm up." Other than that, it's great!

Clothes smell cleaner

I think this washer works excellent. I have had it for 6 weeks now. The first thing I noticed compared to my old style top loader is the clothes smell much cleaner. My kids love the controls which are easier for them to reach. Love the delay wash feature and it's not complicated to use all the features. I bought it since it's the number one rated top loader with Consumer Reports.

this product preforms poorly

This washer consistently doesn't finish washing. It always displays and unbalanced load which then tries to correct by refilling the drum to redistribute the load several times. This adds many minutes to the cycle. It uses too much water and electricity to do this rebalancing. The drum is too deep for even medium tall persons to be able to reach the bottom to get the laundry out. The controls are on the front of the machine which makes it more difficult to place or remove the laundry without hitting any of the control buttons. The water level never seems to be high enough while washing and intern the clothes sometimes do not come out clean. Our hope is that LG will replace this machine with one that more suits our laundry needs that will wash clothes and other item without having to stand by every load to make sure if finishes.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent washer. Very quite.
What a water saver. Needs just the right amount of water to wash.
Many choices of setting.
I would like a louder buzzer to let me know when washer was finished.

replaced a competitor's machine that was purchased after hurricane sandy. That machine flooded my house twice within 12 months. That washer was returned for a comparably priced LG. This machine does not vibrate, rattle or make noise. Great compared to the other brand. Needless to say after these experiences this machine is especially wonderful.
