wished i had never bought this washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] when i bought washer it was top of line, has no agitator which was bad but acquaintance recommended. Have had over year it is horrible about balancing before spinning. now it takes about 2 hrs 15 min to do a normal load because it keeps trying to balance load. Washer says its energy efficient but how is that when it wastes many gallons of water trying to balance load. Top of all of that it does not clean cloths very well.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear you are having issues using your new washing machine. Refer to the following information for how to get the best results from a HE top load washer: Always use a laundry detergent with the HE label. These products are formulated to create fewer suds which is important since so much less water is used. More is not better when there is less water in the mix. Most loads only require one to two teaspoons of HE liquid laundry detergent or one single-dose pack. If you do not use the automatic detergent dispensers, place the detergent in the bottom of the drum BEFORE you add your dirty clothes. All single dose laundry packs must be placed in the bottom of the washer - never the dispenser. This will give the detergent the longest amount of time in the water to help get your clothes clean. When you load a HE top load washer, do not pile the clothes in the center. Evenly distribute the dirty clothes around the edges of the wash plate. This will help balance the load more quickly and speed the wash cycle. Load clothes loosely, and do not load clothes over the maximum guideline on the tub. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got a good deal on this washer a few years ago. Have had no electronic or mechanical problems, no load balance issues.
Main problem is cleaning; work clothes (nothing real heavy, mainly yard work) don't get clean and lighter clothes get mysterious stains after washing. Have tried different detergents and additives, same results.
Gave away another brand front load he washer that was working fine, except for broken door switch which was rigged to work (still being used by person I gave it to); had no cleaning issues with it.
Was leery about a top load w/o an agitator. Shopping for top load with agitator.
Pros - easy to use controls, large capacity
Cons - can't add extra water, hard to reach bottom of drum, poor cleaning, lighter colors get stains on them which weren't present prior to washing

Forever UE error code (uneven)

This washer is horrible and a piece of BRICK. Finding a lot of community blogs that this model is lemon due to a disfunction mainboard. SUpport wont even budge.

It did a simple job but not like the Asian markets

Bought a set, washer and dryer to match July 2016. They lasted the years with only problems on washer. The door lock having issues since day one and two calls to support, no help. We managed to work with it. The white clothes never were white, lights clothes had to be washed only with other lights, no mixing colors of any sorts or strange things took place. Now, the Wash plate flies off, Wash plate cap pegs are snapped, I assume I need to replace the clutch and bearing plate assembly, but feel I am just better off looking at another brand to ensure my clothes are actually clean and whites are white. Years past LG was one of the leaders in household appliances and one I would take over and above others in my homes in Asia.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings

The part that runs the drain pump bike at 5 years and they no longer make it. Was told it would be pricey to replace if they had. Liked it before it only lasted 5 years!

Just a piece of junk

I've had mine for about 5 years or so. Every 4 out of 5 loads is Uneven and gives you that UE code. Wastes energy and water consumption trying to level back out. Frequent OE codes also, showing it's clogged. Take it apart, nothing is clogged.
It also just doesn't wash well. I find my work clothes SMELL AWFUL! Why after washing are they still stinky? Really? I run it through the other washer I have, and no issues. It's just not a good product. It's been the most aggravating purchase I maybe have ever made.

Continual unbalanced issues, ties my shirt sleeves

This machine started out fine, but the older it gets the more it quits during spin cycle with unbalanced code. Had a tech diagnose, no clear error. Said could try replacing motor and or board, but would be over 1/2 the price of buying a new one.
