Since i have had this washer all it does is stink after every load and the tub wash doesnt help any

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this machine. It worked great for 5 years and then struggled along for another year before I had to give up. My favorite setting was "Bulk and Bedding" for days I needed the machine to be full of water to get things super clean. The parts were no longer available to repair my machine, so I had to get a new one, sadly.

Goes out of balance all the time

It's been a frustrating machine since I first got it. The "Smart Drum" is an idiot. It goes out of balance on almost every load, frequently requiring me to pull out all the heavy wet laundry and carefully layer it all back in one piece at a time. That often has to be done multiple times in one load - sometimes it takes me 2 days to finish a load, and I often just give up and wring things out by hand and put them in the dryer for a longer time. Happens less often with very large loads, but smaller loads, which are much more common, are almost impossible. Also, it can't wash things that have any waterproof materials, like windbreakers or rubber-backed rugs. That's annoying. It also has no option for getting water to flow when the lid is open, so you can never rinse out a soap dispenser or the end of a soap container, nor get a rag wet to wipe down the machine, etc. Since I have no sink near the washer, that is very annoying. I have been fighting with this monster for about 3 or 4 years, almost never doing a load of laundry without cursing it. Repair person gave me an estimate of several hundred dollars, which was silly. As soon as I can I will buy a new machine, preferably one that doesn't think it's so 'smart' and definitely not an LG.

I bought this to replace a front loader. It hasn’t been a very good machine. It barely covers clothes with water. Clothes don’t get as clean as I would like and it constantly has uneven loads which causes it to keep adding water. This causes the machine to run a very long time.

Bought the washer 6 years ago after extensive research. Loved it until it needed repairs after only 6 years of normal use!!! And, while parts were covered, warranty does not cover service! It seems to me that if you advertise a quality product, stand behind it with your service! Will think long and hard before I buy LG again.

Works well, but has has to be repaired twice
