Best Washer I've Ever Owned

I'm a guy. I like muscle cars, football, baseball, cigars, beer and now this LG washing machine.
My wife and I picked up this washer about 6 months ago and I am really amazed on how well it works. I never would have thought that I would be giving a gushing review about a washing machine but here I am.
Maybe it's because we've had such horrible machines in the past but this thing is the quietest, most efficient and easiest machine I've ever used. I'm wondering if people who say the machine isn't quiet have a defective washer. I only say this because I often have to peek my head in the laundry room to see if it's actually running.
With the tap of a few buttons you can do anything from changing the water temperature to selecting the soil level of the clothes. Adding bleach and fabric softener is a no-brainer.
The HE soap seems to work just fine for us--then again we're not filthy slobs so that might have something to do with it. We don't nearly have to buy soap as often, that's for sure.
The glass top is a nice feature that allows you to see what's going on. The lid features a "soft close" hinge so it won't slam down. There is also a vent you can open up on the lid that allows moisture to escape and prevents that mildew smell.
All the buttons and controls for the washer have been moved from the far side to right in front. Makes a lot of sense to me!
Overall, I'm very satisfied.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
This washer works well for large loads, but if you want to wash just a few items for example; less then 6 items, the machine will stop and display the digital read out of load being unbalanced. The frustrating thing about it is that, you have no idea it has stopped unless you checked on it, then you have to push the button for it to continue to wash. It states that it will first try rearranging items but I always have to again push the start button. I love it for my large loads like towels, jeans, bedding and it has a cycle for delicates or blouses but still the load becomes unbalanced if less then 6 items are being washed. I do laundry now only once weekly as I save it until I have a large load of any particular clothing, which saves time in that respect, but I hate that my delicate items that I love to wash in small loads always take longer due to the unbalancement of the load. This washer also takes much longer to wash, it takes at least 50 minutes or even more depending on the cycle you choose. The tub is a very deep one, so you can fit a lot of laundry into it, you will need a step stool to get all the articles from the bottom of the tub if you are 5' 2" or smaller #but that's not a problem, I have a step stool#.
This washer is such a great improvement over washers of the past and present. I love the cold water features available on all cycles. My clothes come out cleaner than with hot or warm water. The machine is very quite while running and I like hearing the signal when the wash finishes. It's a great value and reasonable price to pay for peace of mind.

Have had this washer for a total of 5 days and there is not much left in the house that I haven't washed in it yet! So simple to use, so quiet, and so far it's been fun to wash clothes! I have set the delay on it twice and because of adjustments made during the wash cycle my timing was a little off. Just getting to know my washer right now but I will get the timing right eventually. We did lots of research before purchasing and this one came out on top. Definitely worth the price, and it's the best deal on the market!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
I love the sleek looks and tub capacity of this washer. The only problem for me is I am short and I have to to get a step stool to reach the bottom of the drum when I wash socks, underwear etc....I love the cycles and how well it washes.
This washer is fantastic. My clothes have never been cleaner and I can adjust my settings for a variety of washes. The only downside is that as a top loader, I can't reach the socks at the bottom without getting a reaching tool to help.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
this was all I expected and more.i have washed bed spreads, comforters and rugs in this without any problems.water level no problem with bulky bedding.the only negative thing i can say is if you are short it may be hard to reach the bottom of drum to remove items.i bought this on line after reviewing several machines at different stores.Do not regret buying this in any way.
