Good job, LG.

This washer seems to have it all. Good features, good value, quiet function. One month in and I still really like it. The glass lid is nicety you never knew you wanted. It spins very fast so your clothes will come out drier than other washers because most of the water has been dispelled. And yet it feels so balanced. Some top-notch engineering must have gone into this product.
If I were to offer some criticism it would be to find a way to speed up the load balancing portion of the cycle. It does take about a minute sometimes even when you follow the instructions on how to place laundry in the machine. And if there were a way to turn the selection sounds down a bit (not off totally), that would be nice. It's almost too piercing sometimes.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

This product is awful

I purchased this washer because it was Consumer Reports top rated machine. I have had issues with it from the beginning.
Because it uses less water (like most newer models), the water barely covers the items being washed (if at all) so it doesn't seem as though the clothes get clean. I washed a load of clothes containing a pair of baseball pants - everything in the load came out with an orange tint from the dirt on the pants. I've been washing baseball pants for over 10 years and never had this problem. To avoid this problem, I know have run an entire wash cycle for a single pair of pants.
Unless the load of laundry is very small, the unbalanced load detector detects an unbalanced load nearly every time; meaning that the machine is constantly refilling with water to rebalance the load and I have to manually redistribute the load often. A normal run cycle for a load of laundry averages 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
This machince cannot possibly be energy efficient with all of the extra cycle time involved.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This has been a good washer overall. I find the length of the cycles to be a little too long. You can't wash several loads after work unless you plan on staying up late waiting on it to finish. The clothes do get clean and it is fairly quiet. There are lots of options yet I still haven't figured out how to program all of them or what they mean. You also need to use High Efficiency detergent which I didn't realize until after the purchase.

Washer brings the simple operation without the vibration of a normal washer. Only negative comment is the noise from the water pump during washing cycle.

This LG washing machine is the greatest washing machine I have ever owned. It is efficient - laundry comes out professionally cleaned - uses very little detergent - and uses only the amount of water necessary for the load. The only draw back is that, being a short-statured woman, I can't reach the bottom of the machine to get my clothes out. I have to use my handy-dandy grabber to take the clothes left on the bottom. However, I wouldn't change it for another machine. Absolutely love it!

If you read the manual, all goes smoothly. This high efficiency machine is radically different from the old agitator models of years past. At first, I found it hard to believe that the clothes would actually get clean in the small amount of water used, but they did. I spent a lot of time watching the process, but after a month I trust everything to work as it should.
