This washer does a great job of cleaning clothes!

I couldn't fit a front loader in my laundry room so I was really happy to find this model that was rated the best by consumer reports. This washer does a great job. It was a little intimidating with all the choices and buttons but the manual that comes with the washer helps. I like the fact that it is gentle on my clothes and since the spin cycle is so fast, the clothes hold less water and need less time in my dryer. Its quiet, efficient and a great value. The tub is huge. I haven't done a full load yet but plan on putting off doing laundry as long as possible just so I can fill it up.
I have been looking for a new washer for awhile but loved my old agitator one and just kept fixing it till I could not do it anymore. I knew I did not want a front load as they did not clean very dirty clothes as my mother, sister and mother in-law are not real happy with theirs (and they are all farmers and get pretty dirty). So I have had this set for 4 months now and love them! The water actually covers the clothes and gets them clean. My family lives in the country and my husband farms so I have grease, mud, etc... On our clothes. I still pretreat everything like I always did but things are a lot cleaner and smell great! The clothes are spun to almost dry to the touch. I do like there is a speed wash for things that are not that dirty or if you are in hurry. The controls are easy to read and access as they are up front. The one thing I make sure I do think that may not last is the dispenser tray make sure you have it closed when putting clothes in may get hung up on it in the out position and could break and need replaced. So far I am very happy with this purchase!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
This washer does a very good job in getting the laundry clean. Biggest advantages over old appliance: less noisy by far, uses much less water, spins water out much better so laundry dries faster. A minor point, but very important, is the genius feature of a collapsible-foldover lid that was just what was needed as we have a cupboard above the washer. When the lid is open, this feature allows the lid to fit under the cupboard without a problem. Love this new washer.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Always worried about water usage given I have a well, the load sensing aspect is great on this top loader. Also, being able to stand while I load and unload is nice. I don't have to check the front rubber for socks or other small items that seem to disappear... Lastly, the controls are right in front rather than on the back of the machine.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
I really like this machine. It saves water, spins dry enough that the dryer doesn't need much time to dry the clothes. The only thing is that with the tub being so deep it is hard to reach down to the bottom to get the clothes out. Don't know how that would be remedied though and still have a large capacity.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
I like the washing action and high speed spin for good cleaning and less drying time. Front controls and auto balance are novel features that set the design apart from a lot of washers. And the price was right - What's not to like?
I've had this unit for a few months now. Old washer stopped spinning, this LG produces nearly dry clothes after spin cycle. Dryer is normally finished before next load is clean. Perfect so far.
