GARBAGE

I am so tired of this machine. It has been nothing but problems for the entire 7 years I've owned it, one call to my local repair warranty company after another. Now they have to pick up my machine to bring it in to repair it. I'm not even going to wait for that to happen, even though I pay for the warranty service, and will just go buy a new machine. Worst washing machine of my life.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the washer in July 2014. Everything was good and I was very happy with the performance. But two weeks ago the clutch on the spin cycle broke (major major repair.) Very disappointed that the washer lasted only 7+ years.

I frequently receive uneven load errors and feel like an idiot for dealing with this washer for so long.
Even clean tub mode the washer won’t spin out. More than 30 percent of the loads don’t spin out.

Bought this LG washer and dryer set thinking we would have it for many, many years and it would save $$ over all as was described to do. Unfortunately this washer is more costly due to the fact after the first year it continues to have uneven loads no matter how you carefully layer your clothes in it and no matter if it’s a small, medium or large load. It goes down to spin cycle and in the middle of it back up to rinse cycle constantly wasting water over and over, which is beyond frustrating!!! We will NEVER buy LG again. No way should a washer do this in such a short time of owning it. Your product is crap and sorry we paid so much for this set to now have to go and get a new washer already!!!

Why did LG Discontinue this model?

4.1 cu. ft. Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Sleek Easy Front Control Panel is one of the best user experiences for a washer/dryer. LG discontinued it and no replacement type from LG or any other manufacturer. Too bad!

Looks good, great capacity but the uneven load mode would go off constantly. Laundry would take hours do to refilling water and reshuffling items inside manually. Eventually became unusable after a few years due to this issue. Do not buy this model!

Worst washer I've owned: unbalanced loads

This washer came with a house I bought and is hands-down the absolute worst washer I've ever owned. I would say 40-60% of the time it decides loads are unbalanced and displays the dreaded "UE". The washer then refills all the way to the top as much as 3 times before it gives up entirely.
Washing clothes wastes tons of water, requires me to stand over it to manually rebalance, and often leaves me with a pile of sopping wet clothes.
I now doubt LG as a brand because this washer is so terrible.

Like most reviews I’ve read all over the internet, we continue to have the UE error code. And yes, I’ve literally done all the “tips” and nothing works!!!!! I do see why it was discontinued!

The UE code indicates that the washer is attempting to balance the load, which may be the result of the unit not being leveled correctly or the load itself. This code can be easily resolved without the need of a technician. However, We've gathered from your review that your issue still exist.
