Great until the UE/uE codes started...

Never had to babysit a washer before. This LG was great in the beginning when I thought I could wash a ton of clothing. Nope, it's too picky about what to wash and weight seems to be an issue. I can't even wash two bras in gentle cycle without it stopping on UE after filling up several times with water. The other day, I washed 8 washcloths which have to be washed separately from the towels in a speed wash cycle and the washer stopped and turned off with water in it. It spits black stuff all over my clothes and yes I have used the washing machine cleaner. Also items in the washer have to be hand-distributed again and again. Sometimes I have to just stop it and do a Spin Only cycle. Shouldn't be this hard. I gave it two stars because it worked ok for two years. LG should have recalled this washer based on the tons of other reviews stating same about UE code. Looking for a non-LG replacement.

Paid too much for worst washer EVER!

I have had this washer for going on 5 years. Paid way too much thinking it would last me way longer than 5 years,worst decision ever will never buy LG ever again. Kept getting unbalanced each time finally the pump would not drain. replace drain pump and still not working. Find out the control board has gone out and not u no warranty only had 1 year warranty on main control board ! Really ! Paid way more for high rating product but end up being the worst Product ever purchased. NEVER Buying LG Ever again! “ life is good” no life is expensive if you buy LG”

WT1101CW Glass lid just exploded

After 5 years, My mother in laws washer machine lid exploded. It wasn’t running. Had a dish towel sitting on top is all. LG will no warrant or recall these lids. Been a good machine until this mess.

This washer lasted 4 years for a family of 4 before having problems that won't be worth repairing. It is a terrible product. From day 1, it has never finished within the amount of time specified. Speed wash takes almost 1 hour and cleans poorly. It can only handle large loads on the bulky bedding cycle, which is like a gentle cycle. Regular cycles hold as much as small old-style top loader. It is incapable of washing large loads well. As it has aged, it overfills and wastes water. It has errors that stop it mid-cycle, but it sometimes works again if you cut power and restart. There should be laws against producing items as short-lived and unreliable as this one.
Pros: Style/Design

Worst washer ever!!!!!!

We have had this washer for 5 years and it has had issues from the very beginning. It has leaked, has constant error messages and has Uneven Loads no matter how many times we have reset it- even when we have professionals come to do it. For the past 6 weeks we have had the repair people here 4 times and have been able to use the washer for about 4 days total. We will never purchase an LG product again and we are spreading the word to our friends and family as well.

Just a piece of junk

I've had mine for about 5 years or so. Every 4 out of 5 loads is Uneven and gives you that UE code. Wastes energy and water consumption trying to level back out. Frequent OE codes also, showing it's clogged. Take it apart, nothing is clogged.
It also just doesn't wash well. I find my work clothes SMELL AWFUL! Why after washing are they still stinky? Really? I run it through the other washer I have, and no issues. It's just not a good product. It's been the most aggravating purchase I maybe have ever made.

The part that runs the drain pump bike at 5 years and they no longer make it. Was told it would be pricey to replace if they had. Liked it before it only lasted 5 years!
