A very pleasant surprise

My wife is a maniac about clothes washing (she does not allow me to be involved except to transport the hampers). When our old washer died unexpectedly, we couldn't consider a front load because she needed to be able to open the lid during the cycle to see and touch the clothes. This model, great price, great reviews, floated to the top of our consideration. If we spent more, we would have gotten more cycles but not much else (what's the use of a "baby blanket" cycle if you don't have babies?).
The first time she used the washer, it freaked her out because the water barely covers the clothes - she was used to the clothes swimming in a sea. The amount of soap that she added was comparatively miniscule to what she was used to in our old washer. When the clothes were being agitated, it was slow and controlled - not like the mayhem she was used to with our 7 year old washer that had a central agitator column. The first couple of times she did loads, it gave her fits. She was very apprehensive and kept saying that she was not sure this was going to do the job.
My wife has successfully completed her break-in period and has reached a few very important conclusions: 1) this washer is the bomb! 2) Clothes are getting at least as clean as she expects, 3) the whole water level thing has become a matter of marvel that clothes actually can get clean with so little water, 4) this washer squeezes out more water in the spin cycle than our old washer, but because she is able to do fewer/larger loads, the drier time per load is the same (with fewer/larger loads), and finally, 5) although at 5 feet tall, my wife has had some challenges reaching clothes at the bottom of the tub - this is not a deal breaker since she calls me in when she needs help - we continue to enjoy the capacity since we have a king-sized bed.
Assuming this washer is not a repair nightmare (we have had no issues so far in our >1 month of ownership), this might be the best washer we have ever had.

Great way to enter the HE world of washing!

Our 10 year old traditional washing machine FINALLY bit the dust, and my hubby and I decided to go HE. We were hesitant at first after hearing all of the horror stories about the HE washers NOT getting clothes cleaned and the smell and such, but we dove in- head first- and bought this LG washer. LOVE IT! It's got a great selection of cycles and manages to get my husband's dirty work clothes clean and is large enough to wash my king sized comforter (couldn't do that before without the threat of ripping it in my traditional). I HIGHLY recommend this washer! Plus, I LOVE the songs it plays when the washer is turned on or when it's done washing! :)

Overall, a great buy. I like the features, I like the results, and most of all I like the sounds it makes. Gone are the annoying buzzers, and in their place are happy sounds that always make me think I'm winning at a video game.

It is a good product, it saves on energy and cleans well. My only issue is that it leaves your clothes wrinkled, even on delicate cycle.

I love this washer! It is quiet and I love that fact that it gives me the time amount it going to take to wash my clothes. I like that it has the option to be able to diagnose it with my phone. I haven't had to use this feature though!

Great overall washer

So far this washer has been performing very well.
Quality was marked at four stars because there is quite a bit of plastic. I hope it lasts longer than our last He top loader.
The one thing that takes a little getting used to is the slide out detergent drawer. A few times we have left the drawer open after adding detergent and then it does the whole load without detergent.
Loads are coming out very clean and not all twisted together like our Cabrio used to do.
Control panel is up front which was strange to us at first, but easy to use and not hard to figure out.
So far it's been a great machine, of course they could always be less expensive, so value is only 4 stars.

It took me a while to adjust to loads taking longer to wash but I can see that washer is much easier on my clothes and feel I am saving money on water bills.

Nice Washer, But

We ordered this washer and its companion gas dryer based on the great reviews. When the appliances arrived a month ago, the washer had a very large dent in the top center front of the machine, with no corresponding damage to the box. We contacted the seller, and the machine was returned. A month later the replacement arrived, with a perfect box but yet another dent at the top right front corner. My wife refused to go another month without a machine, so we've kept this one. While the machine works great, two damaged washers in a row make me feel that there is little regard for the customer from this manufacturer. And as an extra, the gas line from the dryer had smashed threads, necessitating repair before it could be hooked up. I'll recommend the machine based on its performance, but with a buyer beware.
