Does not clean clothing!

I've had this machine for 3-4 years and nothing comes out clean. Even re-rinsing does not remove soap scum residue and lint on dark/cotton clothing. Does not clean whites either. Everything comes out dingy.

Sorry to hear, if you unit is leaving "soap scum" or residue on your clothing, it is an indication the unit has not had the maintenance performed. The unit does require regular cleanings as per the manual. Please see the link below or the maintenance section of your manual. ^AC
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my LG Washer for 3 years. I would recommend this washer over and over. I've never had any issues. My husband will totally soil his clothes at work and aside from obvious grease, paint and oil stains- the "dirt" is always washed out. Those other stains will always require a little elbow grease prior to throwing into ANY washer. When I first bought the washer, I would arrange my clothes in the drum, wanting to avoid balance issues. Today- I dump the clothes in and hit go. The machine balances itself - no problems. I also have the matching dryer and I'd give it 5 stars as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month or so ago as it was small enough to fit in our wash area and I regret going agitator less as this machine hardly washes clothes at all we can only wash 3 or 4 Jean's at a time if where lucky they'll get cleaned. Also even though the machine has it's own clean cycle it doesnt really clean that well sometimes our clothes still come out smelling musky. Now I'm stuck with using a money wasting machine

Hello, sounds like the units has a build up of detergent and or fabric softener. The unit is designed for only HE products and since it is an HE unit, it does use less or require less. Also, the unit should have the Maintenance performed regularly, at least monthly or more, as per the manual. Please see the included link for troubleshooting. ^AC https://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT00000305-20150635948425-maintenance

Buyers beware! Junk! We had the service guy out to fix this thing so many times that he said we should sue LG for a lemon. Washer always goes on UE for unbalanced load! I would give no stars if I could.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your machine. Below you will find directions on performing consecutive tub clean to rid your machine of buildup that may be causing the odor issue. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to contact a service center to have the machine professionally cleaned. Detailed instructions on the required routine maintenance for your machine are located in your owner’s manual to prevent the issue from reoccurring in the future. ^AC
Washing Machine Cleaners: Tide Washing Machine Cleaner or Affresh
1. Follow Directions on Washing Machine Cleaner (Due to the amount of buildup you may double the tablets on the 1st Cycle) and do 3 Tub Clean Cycles in a Row 2. Use 2 Tablespoons of detergent maximum for a heavy load and 1 Tablespoon for normal loads 3. If you must use fabric softener, use very small amounts and dilute with water before putting in dispenser
