Brown/black "flakes" on clothes every wash!

We purchased this washer 5 years ago. The washer is getting brown/black flakes on our clothes after almost every wash. We've done everything we can do (and that has been recommended) with no resolution. These flakes are almost impossible to get off and if we can get them off without ruining the clothes it takes another washing--which may end up with more flakes on it! Besides this issue we've been happy with the washer but this issue makes it worthless really. Getting ready to by a new washer...and it won't be a LG unfortunately. We have not been happy with the response from LG or Sears (where we purchased the washer) on the issue.

My “clean” clothes have never been dirtier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this washer for a few years and absolutely hate it. It doesn’t even clean our clothes, etc. properly. This machine has been such a waste of money considering how much we spent on it and how much laundry detergent is wasted using it. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Leaves clothes dirtier than before!

I’ve mine for a couple years now and I HATE this washer! I’ve never had a washer that actually left my clothes dirtier after they were washed. There’s always junk all over the clothes. I also clean my washer on a normal basis. It’s a piece of junk. Do not buy!!!!

Will Never Purchase LG Again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine was advertised as self balancing. It was for about one year. Then it was nothing but trouble. We purchases the washing machine and dryer as a pair. The dryer is fine. The washing machine is a major headache. LG customer support is close to nonexistent. We have called several times and I am certain they outsource their customer service because understanding their representative was close to impossible. Bottom line, this is how companies go out of business. They have certainly lost ours.

Great until the UE/uE codes started...

Never had to babysit a washer before. This LG was great in the beginning when I thought I could wash a ton of clothing. Nope, it's too picky about what to wash and weight seems to be an issue. I can't even wash two bras in gentle cycle without it stopping on UE after filling up several times with water. The other day, I washed 8 washcloths which have to be washed separately from the towels in a speed wash cycle and the washer stopped and turned off with water in it. It spits black stuff all over my clothes and yes I have used the washing machine cleaner. Also items in the washer have to be hand-distributed again and again. Sometimes I have to just stop it and do a Spin Only cycle. Shouldn't be this hard. I gave it two stars because it worked ok for two years. LG should have recalled this washer based on the tons of other reviews stating same about UE code. Looking for a non-LG replacement.

I bought this to replace a front loader. It hasn’t been a very good machine. It barely covers clothes with water. Clothes don’t get as clean as I would like and it constantly has uneven loads which causes it to keep adding water. This causes the machine to run a very long time.
