Constantly out of balance and error codes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer came with new home I just purchased back in November 2020. To date, I have had to have a home warranty cover replacing a sensor and new shocks for the unit. Additionally this has not solved the out of balance issue. There also seems to a constant problem with the spin cycle as it gets to 7 minutes and then runs the cycle again starting at 14 minutes. Furthermore I have to wash multiple loads to prevent the AE code from rearing its ugly head. To date I have had to place three service orders to get this washer repaired and its not totally repaired yet. If the balance issue was fixed it would be a good washer but in its current state not the best.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awful Service Technician

I am not sure where you got I purchased a new LG Washer. I made a request to have my LG Washer serviced, which never happened. Your Technician is the worst. He never completed the job. I have paid for a warranty that is worthless. He came into my home and made a complete mess with water everywhere. Then he takes apart my washer and did NOT put it back together properly.
He had parts sent to my home in 4 boxes asked if he could leave them and have FEDEX pick them up. I wasn't happy about that however I said yes. Two weeks later I had to text him asking him when will FEDEX be picking up the boxes 3 TIMES!. This was the WORST experience. My washer is fixed, I paid for a warranty that is worthless.

Better than nothing

We purchased the washing machine in 2014 and it worked great for about two years, than we would always get unbalanced load warning and it would try to balance the load by adding more water would take up to 2 hours to do a load, then it would not lock, year 2.5 had the circuit board replaced and every thing was fine year three, same thing replaced circuit board again and everything fine.the washer is now seven years old and we always get unbalanced loads, usually when you are doing 5 to 6 items door lock malfunction all the time. this is the worst washer we have ever owned.

Terrible machine

I purchased a house a year ago that had this washer, and I hate it. It becomes uneven constantly, even when I take the time to carefully distribute the clothes around the drum and not overpack. I am able to fill the drum only about 1/4 full...significantly less clothes than I could put in my prior washing machine. The feature I really hate is that when it gets unbalanced, it will refill with water and essentially restart the spin cycle, resulting in a huge waste of water and a very very long wash cycle (sometimes 2-3 hours). I thought washers switched to HE/low water technology about ten years ago, yet this feature uses excessive water. I’m glad to see it has been discontinued, but I’d be wary of any “smart drum” or “true balance” technology. Another example of technology taking us backward rather than forward.
