Get ready to sit by your washer

Worked great first couple of years then it constantly reads uneven reading. It refills and tries to balance but doesn’t. You have to pull things out and replace etc. The cycles go for over an hour + for a load.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst washing machine ever

I’ve had this washer for about 4-5 years now. Never have I had to babysit a washer until this one. I’m constantly rearranging the clothes. On many, many loads, I have pulled out every garment and put them back in carefully (the washer itself could never arrange it so evenly) and yet it still comes up out of balance and tries to fill the tub with water(hence the babysitting). I’ll never buy an LG product again. EVER!

It did a simple job but not like the Asian markets

Bought a set, washer and dryer to match July 2016. They lasted the years with only problems on washer. The door lock having issues since day one and two calls to support, no help. We managed to work with it. The white clothes never were white, lights clothes had to be washed only with other lights, no mixing colors of any sorts or strange things took place. Now, the Wash plate flies off, Wash plate cap pegs are snapped, I assume I need to replace the clutch and bearing plate assembly, but feel I am just better off looking at another brand to ensure my clothes are actually clean and whites are white. Years past LG was one of the leaders in household appliances and one I would take over and above others in my homes in Asia.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings

Don't waste your money!!

I have owed this washer for 4 years and spent countless hours rearranging unbalanced loads, wringing clothes out by hand, or re washing them because the clothes were still dirty after washing them. The clothes aren't even submerged in water..How can your clothes come out clean !!? Now my clothes won't even rinse!! I haven't been able to wash clothes for two weeks!! I've tried everything and called LG they just brush me off and say that it's not under warranty anymore! I will NEVER buy anything from them again!!! Do not buy this washing machine!! Nothing but a piece of JUNK!!! No wonder it's discontinued!!

Forever UE error code (uneven)

This washer is horrible and a piece of BRICK. Finding a lot of community blogs that this model is lemon due to a disfunction mainboard. SUpport wont even budge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got a good deal on this washer a few years ago. Have had no electronic or mechanical problems, no load balance issues.
Main problem is cleaning; work clothes (nothing real heavy, mainly yard work) don't get clean and lighter clothes get mysterious stains after washing. Have tried different detergents and additives, same results.
Gave away another brand front load he washer that was working fine, except for broken door switch which was rigged to work (still being used by person I gave it to); had no cleaning issues with it.
Was leery about a top load w/o an agitator. Shopping for top load with agitator.
Pros - easy to use controls, large capacity
Cons - can't add extra water, hard to reach bottom of drum, poor cleaning, lighter colors get stains on them which weren't present prior to washing

Waste of water!

This machine is horrible! It doesn’t wash your clothes properly because it doesn’t fill the tank with enough water, and many times in the spin cycle, it stops and drain the water and fill it again... WASTE OF WATER!,, especially when you live and have to pay top dollar for water..

wished i had never bought this washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] when i bought washer it was top of line, has no agitator which was bad but acquaintance recommended. Have had over year it is horrible about balancing before spinning. now it takes about 2 hrs 15 min to do a normal load because it keeps trying to balance load. Washer says its energy efficient but how is that when it wastes many gallons of water trying to balance load. Top of all of that it does not clean cloths very well.

We are sorry to hear you are having issues using your new washing machine. Refer to the following information for how to get the best results from a HE top load washer: Always use a laundry detergent with the HE label. These products are formulated to create fewer suds which is important since so much less water is used. More is not better when there is less water in the mix. Most loads only require one to two teaspoons of HE liquid laundry detergent or one single-dose pack. If you do not use the automatic detergent dispensers, place the detergent in the bottom of the drum BEFORE you add your dirty clothes. All single dose laundry packs must be placed in the bottom of the washer - never the dispenser. This will give the detergent the longest amount of time in the water to help get your clothes clean. When you load a HE top load washer, do not pile the clothes in the center. Evenly distribute the dirty clothes around the edges of the wash plate. This will help balance the load more quickly and speed the wash cycle. Load clothes loosely, and do not load clothes over the maximum guideline on the tub.
