Great Washer!

I purchased this washer while looking for a dryer to replace my 13 year old loud, squeeky dryer. I saw the LG dryer and then saw this washer! I am not one to purchase big appliances on the spot, but this washer had all the features I was wishing I had on my HE, front loading washer. What really excited me was that the door has a little part that can be unlocked and flipped down to let in air so that the inside of the washer will have some circulation while not being used. My front loading washer had a moldy smell, so I always left the door open. I am still enjoying the clean smell of the clothes that come out of this washer and it has been a couple of months. I was not sure of loading the clothes over the buttons at the front, but it hasn't been a problem and I am enjoying the many options to choose from, and the large capacity. I am very happy with my purchase!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Buying this washer instead of the low cost washer was the smart thing to do. I can see how this washer will last. I immediately noticed newly washed clothing was much softer. It could have been because of the type of detergent that was required. Regardless, though, it was a nice surprise. You look at a washer purchase as a necessary evil - kind of like getting a root canal. You need it and it will be better once you get it, but you don't look forward to the pain (spending the money). Even though this washer was higher priced than the one we originally were going to buy, it was worth it. It cleans the clothes well, uses less energy and detergent and is very quiet.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Surprised to find a different washing technology after 27 years, but so far, so good. I'm learning how to sort and wash differently with the HE features. There is some information missing from the manual that would be helpful (load weight) but overall I'm pleased with the performance.
I was drawn to this washer because it was top loading but didn't have a traditional look to it. While I thought it looked small I was pleasantly surprised that it's capacity actually exceeded my previous washers capacity. My kids love song that it plays after it's finished. I love the lid feature that allows for greater air flow so it doesn't get the moldly, smelly feature like other HD machines. The washer does an excellent job cleaning our clothes, especially messy kid clothes. I've been using our machine for five weeks and so far it's never once gotten off balance and needed me to redistribute the items. Highly recommend this washer.

I bought this set a week ago. I followed LG’s instructions to the note for installing. New gas line, replaced the water valves and also updated the dryer venting by putting in a booster fan as my unit is nearly 65 feet to an outside wall. When the set arrived I leveled it spot on. The dryer passed the air flow test easily. I tested the washer per the manual, perfect. I took it for a test run and washed a small load of towels. I selected all the options and hit start. Let me tell you forget everything you know about washing machines, this is not you Mothers washer. It went threw a series of adjustments spinning and stopping, jiggling the tub back and forth. Then it began filling with water, it determined the correct volume for my load size and filled quickly. It began the washing cycle, it is nothing like I have been used to seeing, it hardly made any noise and the sounds it did make was nothing like any washer I ever owned. In fact I got a phone call I put on speaker, after about 5 minutes my party asked what was I doing, I asked why and he said it sounds like you are running your bread machine. As it processed threw the cycle it never made a sound loader a small kitchen appliance. As it spun out the water there was very little if any cabinet movement. At one point it stopped and adjusted itself again, I think it was trying to center the load, after that it completed the cycle and the lid released. I inspected the results, the first thing I notice is how near dry everything was just damp feeling. As I continued all the items were very clean, spot free and evenly spun out. Next into the dryer with the freshly washed clothes, I used the recommended settings for this load. When the dryer first started it sounded odd to me so I stopped it and rechecked the load, all was ok so I proceeded, as the unit warmed up the sound became more of what I remember a dryer sounding like only much softer. The towles dried in 24 minutes, everything was evenly dry and soft to the touch. I then finished the week’s laundry load by load, each and every time the cycle time was different but the results the same, clean clean clean... This is has got to be the best washing system I have ever owned, if you are looking for a throw it in and take it out set in 20 minutes this one is not for you, However if you want you clothes to be treated gentle and laundered clean with a fraction of the water and soap. You will like your LG”s as much as I do. I do not need to wash 100 loads of laundry to know if it cleans cloths no more than I have to drive a fast sports car across the state to know it performs. I have purchased other LG products, so I now their product support and commitment to customer satisfaction are every indication this product will be as reliable as the others I have in service. I highly recommend this product. If I had know how quite they would be I would have put them in the upstairs laundry closet, in fact I may still move them up at a later date.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, attractive styling
I've been very pleased with all the features. For the first time I'm able to wash bedspreads and dog beds at home! The only problem I have with it is that I need a stool to get that last sock out sometimes. :-) If you're under 5'2" it's hard to reach the very bottom. That's an acceptable tradeoff for the capacity though.
I purchased this model washer because of the good reviews by consumer groups, the reasonable price, the fact that I have an LG refrigerator which I LOVE. It has sleek, modern styling and is very well engineered. It replaced a front loader that got my laundry nice and clean with minimum soap and water but the darn thing always smelled and I was glad to see it go ( it was not LG ). I have been using my new LG washer for about two months now and I am very satisfied with its performance. It is super quiet, has a large drum to do lots of bulky bedding with ease, gets my laundry really clean. My only gripe is that I'm 5'2" tall( or should I say short?) and I really have to stretch to reach the bottom of the drum.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, efficient
The machine never fills up to the recommended settings. And because of this, the clothes on the top are usually not as wet as the clothes on the bottom. Unless your loads are very small, I do not recommend this machine.
