The lid assembly for the WT1101CW is a poor design. It broke within the first year of purchasing the washer and it was replaced. Four years later the lid is broken again. The frustrating thing is the lid assembly is no longer available. I cannot purchase a replacement part. My only option today is to purchase a new machine. It will not be an LG washer!

Lid won’t stay up

Purchased a few years ago and all of a sudden the lid won’t stay up when you want to load the machine. A previous review mentioned that their lid broke (not sure what they meant) and that there were no repair parts. So if this true I don’t want to waste money on a repair call

Every time I do laundry I wish I had stuck with my top load with the agitator. This machine is awful. I can’t tell you how many times clothes have come out with visible dirt on them; dirt that should have come out in the wash. I’ve probably spent an $1,000 in water as this washer will spend hours adding water to the rinse cycle trying to get itself unbalanced. One would think a “smart” washer would be smart enough to balance itself without being so wasteful. I just had a load of towels wash for 5 hours. I finally took them out, wrung them out by hand, and put them in the dryer. Absolutely ridiculous!!! I wish I could give this back and get back my old washer.

Top load works better for me than front load. Extra large capacity is nice in summer after a day at the pool with lots if towels.
Had nothing but problems, will only function on one cycle, because all the others it malfunctions during the spin cycle. Major mistake purchasing this. Will soon replace with a speed queen. I’d give it away, but I don’t dislike anyone that much. Oh the dryer works well …

Every time it self balances it adds more water to the basket. Not really a water saving feature. Then it just started to stop in spin cycle and fill up and spin and fill up and spin etc. it’s been almost 3 months of repair appointments and now they’re going to come back and basically rebuild the washer from the bottom up. Won’t buy one of these again.
