I very much like my new LG top load washer. It is so quiet that I sometimes forget it's running until I hear the chime telling me my wash is complete. The clothes come out so dry that the drying time is greatly reduced and they are not as tangled as in my previous washer. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this washer.
Pros: easy to use

Best washer I ever had!

I've now had my LG top load washer long enough to write an honest review based on 6 months of almost daily use. I can only say I can't find anything to complain about. It's so user friendly and the front controls make it idiot proof. In fact it's so much fun to use that my retired husband has enjoyed taking over the job of "Laundry Boy" and I hardly have to wash at all. The easy controls make it a cinch to choose the best temperature and wash cycle and the washer is smart enough to use the perfect amount of water every time. The extra rinse features remove soap residue making clothes much brighter and cleaner. Love it!

A great design idea

We had to buy another washer when our other brand washer decided to give up the ghost JUST after the warranty expired. So, even though we would no longer have a "matched set", I researched my first choice of an LG product and this innovative model just struck me as a perfect choice. The machine is just as large as the other was, which was important...but what really made this the ideal choice was the new design with the control panel up front and flush to the unit. My wife and I both love gadgets, and so the appeal here was mutual. The machine works perfectly; is quiet; and she loves doing the laundry with it. Thank you again LG!!

Not for small loads

This washer works well for large loads, but if you want to wash just a few items for example; less then 6 items, the machine will stop and display the digital read out of load being unbalanced. The frustrating thing about it is that, you have no idea it has stopped unless you checked on it, then you have to push the button for it to continue to wash. It states that it will first try rearranging items but I always have to again push the start button.
I love it for my large loads like towels, jeans, bedding and it has a cycle for delicates or blouses but still the load becomes unbalanced if less then 6 items are being washed.
I do laundry now only once weekly as I save it until I have a large load of any particular clothing, which saves time in that respect, but I hate that my delicate items that I love to wash in small loads always take longer due to the unbalancement of the load.
This washer also takes much longer to wash, it takes at least 50 minutes or even more depending on the cycle you choose.
The tub is a very deep one, so you can fit a lot of laundry into it, you will need a step stool to get all the articles from the bottom of the tub if you are 5' 2" or smaller #but that's not a problem, I have a step stool#.

Impressive and Great-Performing Machine

This is the first new washer I've bought in many, many years; the technology has changed tremendously for the better. This machine is fantastic in every regard.
It is so quiet; it talks to you; it has so many different wash, rinse, spin combinations for every type of garment you throw in it - and everything comes out perfect! It is the type of machine that makes you want to use it every day, it is such a joy to use. I made the right decision is selecting LG for my new washer and dryer.

This machine is so quiet!

I have only had this for a few months, but so far so good. The machine is huge and so quiet. I actually had to look at it to be sure it was working. The large capacity does make it difficult for me to get all the laundry out because the drum is so deep. I am about 5' 3" and it can be difficult. It also becomes uneven at times and I have to open it up and level out the cloths. This has happened a few times now and I have been home to fix it. I am not sure what would happen if I was not home. Even with those two issues I still think this is a good product. It uses less water, it is very quiet and it gets my cloths clean. I would recommend this washer.

LG puts the "make" in it's Products

What a pleasure to use. Clothes come out crisp and clean - almost dry. Keypad is a breeze to use. Quiet and vibration free - second floor installation. End of cycle chimes are a welcome change from the harsh buzzers of yesteryear.
This firm appears to have a design and manufacture philosophy of adding make and value to its products. Not just the washer and dryer I purchased but across the product line. A long term win for their customers and LG.

Great product, and easy to use .

We have had the washer and dryer for almost 4 months now and love them. The first time we used the washer, we just watched the operation in amazement. The washer weighs the clothes, spins a little and then the water comes in. The machine is so quiet. When done the clothes are almost dry. The only downside the tub is too deep for my wife and needs a step stool to reach them. However, one load takes the place of three on our old one. Also this machine balance itself with heavy bulky items. Our old one would stake across the floor with that load. In a nutshell ,right now, we would buy the machine again if it holds up.
