sucks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Interestingly, I've had absolutely no problem with the uneven balance error. The high spin speed and its stability are the only things I like about this machine and maybe the only reason I haven't thrown it out!
My problems with it:
-No manual override to any of its automatic settings
-Cannot change any setting once a cycle has started and attempting to do so requires turning it off and back on which automatically drains the drum
-The pause button has a time limit, maybe 10-15mins, before it automatically drains the drum
-No way to manually add water or control water level in any way and water level is its biggest flaw as the quality of clothes agitation is totally dependent on it. There are only two levels this machine chooses, far too little or way too much and neither work. When water level is too low the clothes dont tumble and those at the bottom can get torn from getting beaten by the churning wheel or whatever called. With water level too high, clothes still wont tumble and just float around doing nothing.
-extra rinse option must be used every load or clothes will have soap on them
I bought this machine used so I can't return it, etc. My fix for the manual addition of water to correct level without having to pause it: Take the folding handle off (this fix wouldn't be possible without this stupid feature, the glass lid is also helpful here) so that theres access for a hose to add water with. Put a 2 way splitter on the valve before the washer hose on the wall to connect another washer hose to. Use the valve on the splitter to add extra water with the hose through the hole from the absent lid handle. Removing the handle is a bit tricky and also requires the placement of a strong magnet over the sensor behind the control panel before any cycle will run.
It's kind of a pain and I wish I had my 20yr old washer that worked much better than this high tech piece of junk.

That's terrible to know you've encountered such unfortunate circumstances when dealing with your purchase of the WT1101CW. I too would be baffled at the thought of only having the unit just several months and facing multiple difficulties. Wow! I do appreciate your feedback on this matter, If you're in need of guidance or support reach out via Twitter at @LGUSSupport or Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LGUSSupport. Thanks! ^ CS

Worst washer design ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Girlfriend bought this washer dryer pair. The dryer great. Washer sucks, constantly out of balance when it spins, refills during rinse cycle multiple times to attempt to balance load, rarely ever successfully. Cant take several hrs to complete a load if it ever does. Usually it shuts with after several refills due to out of balance error codes. Told her that if I move in with her, this washer gets thrown out the back door before I move in one item.

Never Buy an LG washer again
on December 17, 2018

Never worked correctly. Can maybe place 15 items of kids clothing in at once. If all clothing is not the same type as in all shirts, all pants, all sleepers. Will read unbalanced and never finish. If any item of clothing is a heavier weight has to be washed alone. Even a heavy sweater. Not functional for our family at all. After struggling with it for 2 years buying a new washer of a different brand. Not worth paying repair fees in hopes it might work.

always uneven

I love LG products but I would not recommend this washer at all. It registers uneven ALL OF THE TIME, no matter what size load you have. If it is a small load, it bunches over on one side and ...uneven. If it is a large load, the heavier things are spun together and ...uneven. The water runs constantly, trying to balance the load again, so my water bill has literally gone up $30.00 a month since I've purchased this machine. Pass this one by, without a doubt!!!!
Pros: Style/Design

Yikes! to hear you're experiencing difficulties with your washer is unsettling to hear. To add an extra 30.00 bucks to this complication, I too would be at my wits end. Appreciate the detailed feedback given, if will take a moment, at your convenience, to contact us directly via Twitter @LGUSSupport or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LGUSSupport/ or at 1-800-793-8896. ^ CS

3+ Years & Couldn't Be Happier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this upright LG washer April 2015 and still love it. Using liquid All or Tide, it effectively cleans most of our small, 2-person size loads in the short cycle that lasts about 30 minutes. It's 1000 maximum spin speed Direct Drive motor wrings out so much water that a 25 minute dryer cycle is normal for these loads. We can complete drying one load while another is washing! Also very quiet. We felt it was a good value for what was important to us - effective & fast cleaning.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your machine. Below you will find directions on performing consecutive tub clean to rid your machine of buildup that may be causing the odor issue. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to contact a service center to have the machine professionally cleaned. Detailed instructions on the required routine maintenance for your machine are located in your owner’s manual to prevent the issue from reoccurring in the future. ^AC

Washing Machine Cleaners: Tide Washing Machine Cleaner or Affresh

1. Follow Directions on Washing Machine Cleaner (Due to the amount of buildup you may double the tablets on the 1st Cycle) and do 3 Tub Clean Cycles in a Row
2. Use 2 Tablespoons of detergent maximum for a heavy load and 1 Tablespoon for normal loads
3. If you must use fabric softener, use very small amounts and dilute with water before putting in dispenser

Buyers beware! Junk! We had the service guy out to fix this thing so many times that he said we should sue LG for a lemon. Washer always goes on UE for unbalanced load! I would give no stars if I could.

Verified Purchase:Yes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month or so ago as it was small enough to fit in our wash area and I regret going agitator less as this machine hardly washes clothes at all we can only wash 3 or 4 Jean's at a time if where lucky they'll get cleaned. Also even though the machine has it's own clean cycle it doesnt really clean that well sometimes our clothes still come out smelling musky. Now I'm stuck with using a money wasting machine

Hello, sounds like the units has a build up of detergent and or fabric softener. The unit is designed for only HE products and since it is an HE unit, it does use less or require less. Also, the unit should have the Maintenance performed regularly, at least monthly or more, as per the manual. Please see the included link for troubleshooting. ^AC
