Bought this product in Sept 2014. After about 6 months, we started to get the uE code errors. Unbalanced. Right. Then the thing would eventually stop and we would get the dreaded UE error. LG gives us "consumer training" on how to use the device. Wash items that weigh the same together. Can't wash 8 washcloths together that weigh the same as that is a "too light" load. Well I only have 8 washcloths and they have to be washed together with nothing else. Can't wash a heavy blanket. That's too heavy. Put the heavier sweatpants on the bottom and the socks and undies on top. That doesn't work either. Constantly unbalanced and you have to stop what YOU are doing to rearrange the load. It is the CONSUMER's issue. Can you imagine a dishwasher that stopped working mid-cycle and required you to move around the dishes and glasses before it would continue? Or what if you don't have a balanced load in the passenger area of your car so it would stop on the highway and you had to get out and rebalance your passenger load before your car would start back up -- on the highway? Crazy. Also this washer is not an Energy Star appliance as this thing uses a ton of water. I'm on a well and we are lucky to not have a water bill but we still have to pay for electricity on these 4 hour "unfinished" loads when the washer just gives up after refilling several times. I just ran a Tub Clean and got the UE error (the capital letters this time). LG Twitter help is not helpful and gave me the same "education" about having to stop the washer and rebalance the load manually. What load? So much for a "convenience" appliance. What a joke. Stay away.

Bought this no less then 5 years ago. Ran fine for awhile. Now all I deal with is error code after error code. The main ones being OE and IE. No matter what I do to fix the problem it don't work. Now the drain pump won't run, yet nothing is wrong with it, power gets to it just fine. Washer will only do a gravity drain. It takes all day just to do one load of laundry because of how many times the error codes pop up. Also why does it say smart diagnostic washer, wifi capability if it can't do it and not set up for it?

Looks great, washes awful

I am very unhappy with my purchase of this washer. I have had it 4 weeks and am returning it. While there appear to be a lot of bells and whistles and the design is appealing, it does not do a goodjobof washing clothes. It determines the water usage and you cannot override it. There is never enough water in the tub to cover the clothes. There is no agitator and as you look through the cool see through top, the clothes are barely moving around and therefore are not coming out as clean as my old washer. The washer gets off balance easily and you have to stop it and shift the clothes. The wash cycle is alsoa lot longer than I am used to as the washer is stopping so often to weigh the clothes to determine the water level. I appreciate the efficiency but I want my clothes clean.

I find that this washing machine requires a lot of attention. Loads never get done in a timely fashion and requires intervention to balance the load regardless of the size. Very disappointed with this appliance.

Pretty Disappointed

We bought this after my washer I had for ten years started leaking at random times. Tried to be good and go energy efficient but this machine just doesn't seem to clean the clothes, they come out stained and just dingy and dirty. I read the manual and have tried the extra rinse which only makes the extremely long cycle time longer. It helps some but just isn't that great. I'm just really bummed that I paid this much for a washing machine that is no where near as good as my old school machine was. Then to top it off you cannot wash water proof or resistant products. So no mattress pad for my toddler??? You are not allowed to wash bath mats or kitchen mats either... just disappointed! The dryer however is fantastic!

Love front control panel That was my motivation to purchase--- BUT need a ladder to reach the bottom of the tub. Also, even though I use the washer "cleaner" it still " stinks". I'd think again about purchasing the washer Dryer is fine

Washer does not balance well

I have had this washer for about 8 months. I continue to have issues on the spin cycle with an "unbalanced load" error. The only way for the washer to finish a cycle without this error is to fill it up quite high with clothing, etc. to create a heavy load and have all items of the same type (e.g., no mixing of towels and underwear). This is a real usability issue for our family since I have small kids and sometimes need to run small loads or loads with multiple types of items. You also cannot wash waterproof items like waterproof mattress pads in this washer - thus it is not a good choice for someone with a potty-training child. When the washer gets an unbalanced error, it fills up with water and swishes the clothing around to rebalance. In the process it twists the clothes quite a bit, and has damaged my clothing several times. It uses a lot of water in the meantime, and extends the wash time to almost 2 1/2 hours sometimes. I believe this is an issue with the design since I have had a tech come out to look at the washer, and he said it is operating fine (and that an unbalanced error is not uncommon).

Soooo dissappointed...

I have this machine less than two years and it is constantly saying UE. It takes hours to get through one load! Then I realized that it is the agitator that has the problem. I had it repaired 3 weeks ago and now we are starting with the same UE problem and I reach down, the agitator is loose again. Here comes another repair! Also, when you try to purchase the replacement part it is out of stock. That tells me that there is a high demand for it. I believe that this machine is defective!
